responding to the OP: when i smoked heavily (3/4 pack/day), it definitely slowed down the pace of my workouts. A little bit, not a ton. however, i still was setting PRās in the gym⦠never seemed to adversely impact my strength/power. Iāve never been much into traditional ācardioā, but on the rare occasion I would go on a run with my girlfriend, I had no problem keeping up. In sum, my endurance took a hit, but a seemingly small one. just my experience, though.
Side note: interesting how many people have a knee-jerk, negative response to the OP. Regarding gaining mass/strength: smoking probably isnāt nearly as detrimental to these goals as, say, not eating enough or not training hard. How smoking affects oneās health is obviously a different story.

I thought it had to do with a horrible bathroom incident.
Just last night as I was closing up the fitness room, a couple was in there and the whole room (itās only the size of a r-ball court mind you), smelled horribly like smoke.
At that point, I thought, why even bother working out if you smoke (they were just doing it to be healthier, not BB), āyouā obviously donāt give a fuck about your health.

Thats what my dad. Smoking is the worst habit ever. Here in Egypt every fucker smokes and i despise it. A smoking hot woman (pun intended) loses all attractiveness to me once she lights up.
