Slumped and Frustrated

Late to the oatmeal suggestions, but overnight oats is another option to have something ready to go in the mornings. Loading up a scoop of oats, giant scoop of peanut butter, some yogurt, a banana, whatever, then enough milk to submerge the oats at the bottom. I feel a hell of a lot better on this than even the healthier looking cereals, and feel full a lot longer too.

Did you have any good high calorie/protein drink suggestions?

Yeah I thought about this too. Are they pretty expensive? I know they sell prepackaged stuff. Not sure if you can make with just regular oatmeal?

So you had the same issue? Can I ask how old you are now?

I keep waiting for the weight to pile up but it hasn’t come.

Oh man, definitely just regular, plain ass oatmeal, the giant tube size. I’d bet the prepackaged version has a huge markup on it and probably less of what you’re trying to put in it. Just buy the big tube of plain oats, peanut butter, some kind of yogurt, maybe flavored if you want to mix in some berries/fruit/whatever, nuts, raisins, anything you think would be palatable. You could throw in some protein powder too if it seems… compatible.

Not really that complicated… grab some whole milk what ever protein powder you like and throw in things like fruit, peanut butter or what ever your taste buds can tolerate. Or you also could get a off the shelf weight gainer.

I’m 32 and am trying to lose weight now.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m pretty sure you age in dog years when you’re in the Corps so I’m really like 56…

Lol. Well, maybe this will make you feel better, my wife just texted me with a similar situation you had posted about a few weeks ago… I’m hoping for the same outcome #pleasejesusnomorekids

I’m beginning to wonder with all these pregnancy scares if no one ever sat down with you guys and explained to you how kids get made…

This is the short version…

First you have to get your wife to inject a down regulating drug for 2-3 weeks to turn off the pituitary gland.

Then you get her to inject fsh + lh for 2 weeks stimulate her ovaries to produce a large numbers of eggs, including daily trips to clinic.

Then you get put to sleep and have a big needle put in and out of your nut, while your wife is put to sleep to do the same to her ovaries.

Then the contents are mixed together in the lab to create embryos. The best one after 5 days is fired up your wife’s vagina up into her uterus.

I’m struggling to see how you guys are doing all this by accident.

When doing this try different types of oats. I hate the rolles oats for this purpose but steelcut oats… I could eat an entire box

Honestly, I’m a huge fan of making healthy shakes for both gaining or losing weight. Replace a meal or two with a shake if I’m cutting, add a shake on top of my 3 meals a day to pack on some size. Make my shakes 500cals, 70ish grams of protein. Works great, was my mainstay when I had to make weight for wrestling in high school or bjj now

Used shakes to bring my oldest up to Football weight after a long drawn out wrestling season when he was in Highschool.
