Finally decided to try pinning with slin pins. 1ml of T400 in the right shoulder last night.
Wish I’d done it years ago! Works a charm. Took ages to actually get the oil in but there’s no soreness or anything today.
Definitely converted.

How lean are you? Also, cant you just load with a 21g and then switch to slin pin?
Slin pin needles aren’t detachable, did you mean backload?
Yogi, what size pin?

Yeah I backloaded it.
29g, 1ml syringe. Was a little unconvinced by the tiny needle but it did the job. Takes a long ass time to inject but it worked a treat.
Usually I get a bit of soreness - a kind of dull ache - around the injection site but there’s none of that today.

certainly looks like it. Can pin pretty much anywhere now!
What length?
just the usual 5/8"
Yogi,
Glad it’s working for you. I often wondered about the internal pressure a smaller G pin could do. Think about it like putting your thumb over a garden hose. But if you have no PIP, it seems to work. 5/8 may not be long enough to get it where I want it. I’m not big on SQing Test.

it was a bit of a workout in itself trying to push the plunger down! Certainly seemed to work though.
I think the SQing risk would only really apply in certain places. I’m certainly not going to slin pin my glutes or VG, but I reckon for shoulders and quads (and other scary places like lats, traps, etc) it’s the way foward.
Heat the oil up before drawing and pinning, it will draw/shoot a whole lot easier. I usually put the vial in front of a small desk lamp I have (used only for heating vials haha) till it’s warm, takes maybe a minute to draw a 1ml slin
