Iam very interested in incorporating some sledgehammer and shoulder glider work into my conditioning sessions. I am on an upper/lower split right now, with two of each in a given week. Should I perform these types of GPP as a warmup to my upper training sessions, do them on off days days, or perform them on the same day as my lower body sessions? Also, I have been thinking of some other forms of GPP, what do you think of this one…take a cinder block or a tree stump and find an open area to work in. Then you perform different types of one and two arm throws (both overhand and underhand). Just an idea.
