I have never baked quesadillas but can see all kinds of potential here. Most of which probably aren’t healthy. Nachos, pizza, cobbler, brownies. Uh… nevermind ![]()
Oh, no. I did them on the griddle. It was recommended that we burn/break it in to get rid of any residual smells from manufacturing that could impart a bad taste.
It will be ready for tomorrow- pizza night, and the baking shall begin! I’m kinda excited.
I haven’t made fresh baked buns or garlicky bread knots in wayyyy too long.
I’m excited for you!!
Dad bought me an oven for christmas a couple years back
Pro tips
- inject with some very salty broth
- don’t bother basting. stuff herb butter under the skin.

Thanks, but…
right… ![]()
well, still inject with broth- keeps the meat juicy
Trying out some of the functions & stuff of my new smart phone. I’m not a phone guy at all, but I’m sure I’ll get it eventually.
Anyways, got a few miles in on the local trail today.
And kiddo got a new bike! I think I’m happier about that than anybody else in our house. A good time was had by all. ![]()

Going for an evaluation for cardiac rehab in a few minutes. Not really thrilled about it, but they’re all very knowledgeable and helpful people, so that’s kinda nice. What isn’t kinda nice is that this is round two.
So, we’ll see. I guess its better to address these things with a team of good people than act like it doesn’t exist.
Why round 2?
I guess that in the period between December when they tried to place the 4th stent and April when they did successfully place it there has been some damage/weakening due to lack of blood flow and oxygen.
I’m not in terrible shape, but not exactly good either. Evaluation went ok-ish. I went through 3 progressions on the stress test, which got my heart rate up to 119 bpm. Thats about what they’re shooting for, all things considered (meds, history). They don’t want a cage match between beta blockers and adrenaline.
Good luck with that @SkyzykS my man
Thanks my metabolic madman!
They’re a solid bunch at this place, so I’m in good capable hands.
Their program typically does a 5 min. warmup on treadmill, followed by 15 min. walk, then 15 min. airdyne at about 48-50 rpm, 5 min. on a concept² rower, a little weight circuit, then cool down & stretch.
Doesn’t seem like much, but its not for healthy people. Sometimes that fact bounces off of the outside of my noggin as I quickly forget that just yesterday I needed a cool shower and 2 hour nap after cutting my grass, which I did not finish.
Glad everything’s okay! Happy recovery!
Considering your health condition, you look in great shape based on pictures and videos dude
Thanks everybody. ![]()
Today, airdyne- warmup for .9 miles.
15 min. ride, 4.4 miles, then nice cool down, didn’t really look at how far.
Thinking I owe myself some weights, but also know I’m going to be banging on steel all day tomorrow. Might just do some really light high rep pumpy stuff.
Did a little pump stuff with like 40 lbs. e-z curl ohp and curls.
Then this-
I love having a baking feature again.
My stomach just skipped a beat. That looks delicious mate.
Thanks!
Knocking the rust off of my bread & dough skills. The sauce was the real kicker this time. I have to look back at a couple of posts from FatkidfromFla to refresh and get some good ideas, but I think that’s where my attention will be for a while.
That sweet pungent aroma of bread rising and baking Really gets me though.
For a guy like me, trying (and often failing) to limit himself to 100 g of carbs a day, your description alone is enough to make me want to smell and lick the picture of your delicious creation on my screen!
