I’m up to 3, unassisted. I don’t have bands but I have managed to bully one of the trainers at my gym to help me. I know the bands are excellent if you don’t have any help, but you’d have to have the whole set so that you can progress. Have you tried negatives?

So as of Monday, I’ll be trying my hand at Wendler’s 5/3/1. I’m excited because I’ve always wanted to try it and I know I’ll make some good gains. If I pull 315, that will be a plus but I want to improve my overall strength. I’ll probably use the template in the article.
For now, I’m resting no training till Monday.

word, i think everyone’s tryin out 5/3/1 :slight_smile: I’m glad they finally wrote an article about it on this site so i don’t have to by the ebook to get the fundamentals. I’m doing it for my benching only, the rest is a different timed session thing again…so i guess not really following it but 5/3/1 benching program ?? I dunno.:slight_smile:

Yeah, this article couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been eyeing 5/3/1 for a minute but like you, I was on the fence about buying the book.
I do negatives but I always think I’m not doing enough.
