Alimony: because of the SAHM thing. More common than SAHD.
Child support, if this is included: more women than men want the kids full time. They’re the ones who know their schedules, teachers, doctors, etc.
Beyond that not sure and have to get ready to go out merry-making with my husband, whom I am very lucky to have but because he’s fun and sweet and snuggly, not because of bullets or the income difference - I am self-supporting, thank goodness (and the early feminists).
Why did men set up a system that screws men over?
Cowardice, simpdom, fear, romanticism, sentimentalization. It started as traditional chivalry and devolved to those.
Western men fear women. They made one concession after another on behalf of women at the expense of themselves.

Because simps and conservatives couldn’t get it through their fuckin head that once the sexual revolution happened and no fault divorce was made the standard - that this system does nothing but fuck themselves over.
Okay that last part is unfair. It does more than just fuck men over.
At best: it allows marriage to continue under the same terms it always was - so there is no benefit to the man.
At worst: it allows the state to strip you from your kids, half your pay (or difference in pay), and half your joint assets (which is everything you purchase after you get married unless you have a renewing post-nuptial agreement (that can be invalidated because a judge thinks its unfair)).
Because there’s no “Team Man.” Some come out ahead.

It’s a fair question. We had been together for over 6 years at that point so the attraction surely dropped off at some point, but we were still having quite a bit of sex.
By “loyal like a dog” I don’t mean I put up with abuse or was submissive. It means I had a lot of opportunities to cheat but didn’t. I didn’t even have social media at the time to play any of those games.
If she had been unattracted to me for a while, she didn’t let her friends or coworkers know. She obviously bragged to them about my special purpose and ability to use it, bringing some size queens out of the woodwork over the years.
I was making just shy of six figures at the time, which was good money in the early 2010’s, especially for Maine. No crippling debt or other financial baggage.
She just talked herself into the idea that she could do better. She’s currently single, too.
