Nice work! Looking great. It’s motivating to see another old guy like myself kicking butt.

You are the Superhero your kids deserve, and you are eating like an absolute champion.

Thanks for the kind words but most of all thanks for the support and friendship you all give. As most of you will know doing this stuff when you are a little older with a busy life is not simple. Sometimes I wonder if the pain and the routine are worth it but then there are days like yesterday where you feel great and it reminds you why.

@T3hPwnisher comment about being a superhero for this kids is spot on. When I started this log (log 1) over 6 years and 10,000 posts ago, my goal was to not be a fat dad. Those of you who read that first post will know that it wasn’t about body image but about being a dad who can, about being a good role model for my kids. I feel like I am living that goal but there is more work to do. As the kids become teenagers it is even more important for me to not be a fat dad.

Friday 9th June - week 2

Front squat
Work up to hard triple - RPE 8/9
Drop back 10kg for 2 more sets of 3
Bar x 10
60 x 3
80 x 3
100 x 3 - first rep was good, third rep wasn’t great. Losing the rack position and just managed to hold to with my finger tips. Legs were not a problem
90 x 3
90 x 3

A little more than last week but not good. Just can not a good strong position to hold the bar.

Bench
Bar x 10
60 x 5
80 x 3
100 x 4 x 3 sets (220 lbs) - RPE 8, 8, 8, 8
Nice pauses but getting harder.

Pull ups - BW - fat bar
9 x 3 sets
Big back pump

Dumbell preacher curl
15 x 10 x 3 sets - 12, 15,
The arm pump continues.

Good Friday night session. Still hate front squats but there is a little progress.

Strongman Saturday session
80kg sandbag - pick and carry - 10 rounds
These were tough but moved ok. Left elbow a little sore after. Back looking yoked which is nice

That picture Rob, its just epic. Truly looked photoshopped as was pointed out.
However i have read/heard tgat arm hypertrophy can impede the rack position.
I have a decent rack position and a body like a drinking straw, though, so i don’t suggest you change anything.

Cross arm is the only way.

Or watch some neversate videos on the rack position. Never worked for me lol, but I’ve worked out with Brian in person, and his arms are the size of my torso; so if he can do it, anyone can

I dont have Huge arms. But I definitely notice the bicep presses against the forearm annoyingly haha.

Though, I think the rack position has way more to do with lats/tris/wrists.

Hanging from the chinup bar has improved it for me a fair bit I feel.

This is even worse for me, ends up on my biceps
