Todays fun workout

No training today. Well nothing other than my daily work curls. 16kg kettlebell concentration curls, 3 sets - 14, 10, 10. Good solid arm pump feels great.

The rest of the day was hard work, chores and cooking. My grown up niece with her two young children came over for the afternoon. My older kids kept the young kids busy so mum could have a rest and spend time chatting with my wife. I did a slow cooker leg of lamb and a roast chicken with roast potatoes, veggies and Yorkshire puddings. Made sure my niece had a good meal and sent them all home fed and ready for bed.

Good day.

I take it your toe is fine?

Very nice squatting, sir!

Toe is still sore to the touch but doesn’t hurt too much when walking or squatting. It is still a little lumpy and looks like it will heal a little wonky but it wont cause any problems so its all good. I am still not doing any burpees as the jump back into push up may cause some pain. Going to give it another week and then should be business as usual.

Thanks Hillbilly, they did feel really good, even with the bung knee and sore leg. I have a massage tonight so hoping she can get into my quad and hip flexor and free it all up a little,

So I a 9 days into this daily bicep training and wanted to get some thoughts down on paper.

  1. So far the daily work has not effected any other training. This seems kind of obvious because the bicep work is not very significant in the scheme of things.
  2. I still don’t feel like i get a deep contraction of the bicep, I assume this is because the forearms and shoulder are dominant.
  3. The bicep pump is significant but the forearm pump is too. Arms feeling tight pretty much all the time is kinda nice.
  4. I think it is time to step up the intensity a little more. I am going to push for a few extra reps on each set even if it means a slight break down in form.

Feel like I want to join in on this little experiment.

Remember Fadi doing it on the old forums? I think he went a little too far with it though, think he was doing a set every hour or something crazy. Ended up injured

LOL yes I remember that. Yes he was doing it all through the day which would be fine for 1 day but not longer, I think there is a thread on here discussing the bicep training every hours for 1 day workout.
Doing just 3 sets a day, which is enough to get a pump, create a stimulus and still get some soreness seems to be OK so far. It will be interesting to see what the next few days are like as I increase the intensity a little.

Will add two sets to each workout moving forward. See what happens.

@wiseman83 true story, I had that exact picture as a poster from flex magazine on my garage wall at home when I was 16 years old and trained with my dad. Mike Quinn, still some of the best arms I have ever seen.
