I deff wasn’t the slimmest person at the beach but given Aus probably on pr with the UK in terms of obesity rates I was also no where near the largest :wink:

Monday 5th Feb - week 3

Barbell complex
Row, clean, front squat, overhead press, back squat, good morning.

5 reps per movement
Bar
30kg (5 per side)

These complexes are a great way to get everything warm and moving.

SSB squat
60 x 5
80 x 3
102.5 x 5
115 x 5
127.5 x 5+ - (281 lbs) got 11 reps (2 in the tank). Deff rep PR
These are starting to move ok. Happy with the top set.

Bench press
60 x 5
77.5 x 5. -
87.5 x 5 -
97.5 x 5+. (215 lbs) Got 10 reps
Happy with bench tonight

High rep squat
80 x 30 reps (176 lbs) - these were difficult but mostly on my back and breathing. Getting a headache by the end.

Dips - BW
12

12+ - got -20 reps
First 2 sets were easy and a nice pre pump. Last set burned.

Rolling tricep extension - Db
15kg x 3 sets
15, 12, 10
Big arm pump again. This must be what it feels like to be @TrainForPain or @davemccright

Great Monday session. PR on the SSB, getting close to 100 for 10 on bench and everything else was just to make me massive.

I am starting to like the transformer bar, it takes a little getting used to the long handles but it is super comfy on the shoulders.

Yup, I love it. I also like dropping the camber as far down and forward as it will go, because it really shifts everything to my quads even when I squat back like I normally would. It’s a cool bar - one of the few I actually miss. I never got a good feel for the Kabuki version of the football bar, for instance.
