There’s nothing wrong with that! You done well, dad. You done well. ![]()
You’re right, bring back the puppy pictures.
Given we’ve hijacked the thread on puppies and now travel, my 2c.
Best likely to fly to the capital city then hire a car. Driving from city to city will take some time - which is fine if you have things you want to do/see on the way. Otherwise it can be a bit mundane driving for hours on end with the kids.
Plenty to do across the country as per other replies above too. And your dollar will go further here with the exchange rate too.

Overall a bloody great session. My left quad and hip and not 100% and complained a fair bit tonight, but “fk you leg, do your job”.
Didn’t look ugly to me, slow, hard but not ugly, rps5 as well!
Congrats on the well earned PR!
The last rep felt like it was all good morning but when I watched it back it looked ok. Funny how hard things make us feel.
Nothing ugly in that PR set. Well, except for the shoes, but that goes without saying.
Good to have you back mate
Nice PR! That was a hard earned one. Heck of a workout.
Form stayed on point throughout. Good work, young fella.
Simple conditioning session today.
30 mins on the echo bike
10 min walking
10 mins of foam rolling and stretching
After dinner my middle daughter also known as the princess wanted to make protein balls. Good chance for some father daughter time. We then spend an hour doing some maths. She was struggling with fractions so dad showed her how he adds, subtracts, multiply and divides fractions. She was getting it pretty good by the end. Was a nice calm evening which felt pretty good.
Life with the new puppy ‘Orin’ is going good. I have been getting up a little earlier to take him for his morning walk before work. It has been good to get up and have a walk even if it is a little slow right now, as Orin wants to stop to check things out or just stop for a rest every few mins. Still 30 mins of fresh air in the morning is still good and the the body is liking the extra movement.
Orin is doing really well and learning fast,
He sits for his food, will sit for his health checks, is great at jumping into things with the ‘up’ command.
We are still working on toilet training and have had a couple of minor accidents, and he is still learning to wait when you open a door.
He prefers to just zoom straight in and steal your slippers.
He gets to have a short amount of time in the house in the evening relaxing with the family and already watching TV with my son is one of his favourite places to be.
That’s a mini Simpson if I’ve ever seen one!

What a awesome session. I messaged @wiseman83 to say I was nervous / excited today before this session. My back was pretty cooked from tbe squats on Monday and I had one less day of rest compared to last week. The first set of deadlift at 180KG felt horrible but there was no option to do less than last week so I just added the weight and did my Fkn job. A rep PR at any age is a great thing, a lifetime rep PR when you are over 50 is just sweet. I am very glad there is a little mini deload next week, I definitely need it.
PR set
Deadlift session no sound because of copyright (stupid YT)
Congrats on another PR. That’s a lot of heavy sets on deads. 20 reps around or above 400 pounds. Definitely “proper hard work”. ![]()
You are not wrong, body is feeling every rep now ![]()
Alive this morning?
Absolutely ripper effort being put in this block!
