I need some sandbags in my conditioning armoury. Something practical that doesn’t take up/require much space and that I can take outside in the UK’s one week of summer.
I have mine in the garage so I can even do sessions when it is raining or when the sun is so hot down here you dont want to go outside ![]()

Good reps. Trying to be fast up down up down. Happy until the last set, felt a twinge in my upper pec / collar bone area. Stopped at rep 5. Weird.

Crazy stretch and pump in the lats.

Happy with this one. Overhead was solid, well until the small twinge anyway. The rest was all a big boy pump.
It may not seem like it. But they actually will!! You just have to brite force yourself there unfortunately
Yeah, was gonna say that push presses are probably harder in your head than they are in reality. With that big ass frame of yours, you can probably already do 90 or more, you just don’t know it yet.

@Cyrrex and @dagill2 not sure I could lift 9kg this morning. What ever I pulled last night is sore AF today. Guessing I have done something to my SC joint, hopefully some rest and light movement the weekend will help
Rest up big guy! Light movement only for you - no sandbags, sleds, weight vests or whatever you randomly break out on the weekends!
Not sure exactly what I have done and this may be hard to explain. But the bony part just under the Adam’s apple at the base of the neck is where it needs. One side the bone is now sticking out more that the other.
Get that checked out please, mate. Sounds like it COULD be an injury to the sternoclavicular joint, either caused by a ligament tear (lig. Sternocvlaviculare anterius) or fracture (less likely without trauma). So just to rule out any of that, you might want to have someone take a look.
Unsure if it it just bruised from the front rack position in the paused push press as this is where the bar sits and often gets sore.
I felt it hurt doing seated overhead press where I was bringing bar right down to the top of my chest for every rep. This really stretches the upper pec for me. I will see how of feels after the weekend. Won’t be able to book anything till Monday any way.
Okay I was just a bit worried about the comment on the bony part, as that description could refer to a subluxation of the clavicular in anterior direction. Which is not a medical emergency of course but something you should get checked out to see how severe it is and determine treatment based on that.
I have actually a permanent bone bruising (like thickened skin) on one of my collar bones from overhead pressing. Freaked out a doctor with that once, haha.
The bone is clearly more raised on one side but I seem to have a full range of motion. If I try to do a push up it is pretty sore on that side where the bone is raised.
Try not doing push ups and see someone about it on Monday mate, hahaha.
Could be a grade one if you have full rom. Don’t try to aggravate it, keep the shoulder from moving around too much.

Sternum held together so that’s a good sign. 9 reps at 170 is either a PR or very close. It’s deff an over 50 PR.
