Woke at 86.3kg - the usual drop back after training despite some good food yesterday. Will try and get that back up today.

Woke at 86.7kg (190lbs) feeling like utter crap. Body is sore, kneck is all jacked up, head feels like it’s going to crack. Looked in the mirror this morning and looked as bad as I feel. Feeling old, slow and shit.
Now that’s enough of the whining and moaning.
Will try and get a session in later today, and then 1 session early next week and then will test maxes again at the end of next week. The following week I am going camping with the family and while back kf friends. Campsite is lakeside so will be fun swimming, fishing and waterskiing. Add in some eating drinking and relaxing and hopefully it will be just what the doctor ordered.

There’s plenty of room for whining. I’ve turned my log into my very own “Dear Diary” book lately. I guess I should feel bad that several of you loyal followers have to read my whining, but it helps me cope to write it down somewhere.

I guess that is true. Having somewhere to lay it out and and not be judged is good for soul. I only have a couple of weeks then the program will change a bit and I can start to focus on more than just strength. That will be a welcome change and hopefully improve the way I feel right now.

Managed to get a quick season in on Sunday in the middle of the day. Felt a bit down on strength but that may just be because I trained earlier than normal.

Lol funny you should say that. My dad always calls me popeye because my forearms have always been better than my biceps. Think it came from playing lots of tennis as a kid. Either that or I didn’t have enough girlfriends !!!

This is a heavy triple, looked like some solid effort went into these.
Honestly, max/near max effort deadlift sets/singles are a highlight in training for me. I don’t do them often, because they kick the $hit out of me, but when I do, I LOVE THEM (in a sick, “that was the hardest thing I’ve done in a long time” kinda way). I also enjoy the watching the same pain of these sets done to others…does that make me a bad person? lol

“I lift heavy things” look written all over ya. I see you haven’t been skipping leg day!

Lats weren’t locked in. Hips being high won’t make the bar windmill, nor will shoulders forward really.

Any other ideas @MarkKO ?
