I feel fine, other than all my usual aches and pains. Will know more once I see the specialist in April. . Fingers crossed it is just a dodgy test result
Pretty much man, creatine a little lower, eGFR a little higher but same sorta thing
I do everything to the MAX. LOL
I don’t know near enough medical stuff to have any idea what any of that means, but wishing you the best of luck Brother, may your kidneys be as strong as those popeye forearms lol
Thanks Mate. I am pretty hopeful that results are due to diet choices that hopefully I can resolve, or even better a skewed test result.
My kidney numbers have been on the lower side for years now. Consistent though every time. I was once asked if I had had a kidney removed…my answer was no, the next question was related to steroid use…
Interesting.
Hoping everything is okay.
I told you all those burpees were a bad idea
(just joking)
you were probably right, they definitely played their part in fking my elbow. LOL

Must be an old man thing ![]()
I’m seeing everyone do this lately, I really want to try it. Sounds like it would be a fun lift
Mine is a plate loaded sorinex machine. It can be used for overhead standing or seated. Bench press, rows, even deadlift. I have Viking press in the comp next week so this was the closest thing I could find to mimick it and practice.
Hey Simo, I hope the cough and calf are feeling better.
I’m looking forward to hearing about your comp next week! If I don’t pop in before then, good luck!
Thanks mate. Calf feels good. I did some practice with the 80kg sandbag to shoulder today and there were no issues, not even a twinge. Cold now still hanging around but it will be gone before next weekend. I’m as ready as I can be and feel pretty good. Couple of light training session this week and the it’s time. Looking forward to it now.
Strongman Saturday - sandbag practice
80kg sandbag to shoulder. Did around 12 reps. Wasn’t rushing just took my time and did some reps. Body feeling good.
Monday 27th March - Deload - comp week
Deadlift - 2” deficit
Bar x 10
70 x 5
110 x 3
No belt, mixed grip
130 x 2
130 x 2
130 x 2
This is comp weight for the deficit in the deadlift ladder. Just getting in some quick reps and working on fast set up, grabbing the bar and going. Felt a little slow but will be quicker on the day.
Viking press
30 x 5 x 3 sets
Pull downs - some reps
Tricep push downs - some reps
Nice Deload
Wednesday 29th March - Deload comp week
Axle deadlift
Bar x 10
70 x 5
110 x 2
Mixed Grip
140 x 2
150 x 2
That’s a wrap. Moved alright.
Viking press
30 x 5
30 x 5
30 x 5
Good snappy reps.
Light pull downs
Good last session before comp. Calf still a little knotty but it should hold out ok. Now to rest up.
