Dont think I could do the 100kg bag to be honest lol.

I reckon I could lap it and stand up, not sure how far I could walk.

I certainly like to try it…

1 hour of burpees today. Did a zoom collab with @Oosiris and another guy from Canada. It was good fun and proper hard work combined.

A great session with a couple of great men. Workout great, chat even better. No better way to workout.

So those who of you have been around for a while will maybe remember that i have overcooked spaghetti where my ankle tendons should be. I am walking down the stairs at home this afternoon carrying my daughters big bag that we have just packed for per school camp. I get three steps from the bottom and bam :boom: my ankle gives way and I go down like I have been shot. My family here me let out an arghhhh and then two loud bangs. One as I hit the floor and the second as the bag hits the floor. I am lying on my back trying to work out what hurts the most, my ankle, my back where it hit the stairs, my head where it hit the ground or my dignity as my family come running to see if I am ok.
My family are clearly concerned and say caring things like:
Wife : what are you doing?
Daughter : why are you lying on the ground?
Son : are you dead ?

For those who want to see what it looks like when my ankle gives way, here is an old video of me walking out of work. Imagine this but on the stairs carrying a large bag in front of me!!

Holy shit. That’s hilarious hahah.

And the classic response from the family too.

I’ve experienced similar from the wife…
“What are you doing?” After tripping over. It’s always funny to them when it hasn’t killed you…haha

Yep as soon as they can see you are alive they just laugh at you as if you did it on purpose for their amusement!!

Ouch! Glad the family was there to “take care of your injuries”. Or add insult to injury. Haha!

Literally had to laugh out loud

I remember this classic! Definitely up there together with @MarkKO nearly throwing a mono lift out of a window!

Hope your okay mate but at least you made this a real fun read for us, haha.

So are you ok, or is your achilles going to prevent certain lifts? Did the fall damage any important tissues, like erectors or brain cells?

I am fine, ankle is a little swollen and painful this morning but I have deadlift tonight and reckon I will be fine.
No brain cells were damaged and pretty sure my erections will still be good. :joy:

The funny thing is, was upstairs and looking down at me from the landing gallery above. I just saw his little face appear above me and he asks Are ya dead dad ? He made the whole family laugh even me.

Is that a thing or is it a joke because it’s where you started your launch?

Monday 10th Oct - week 3

Deadlift
Bar x 10
70 x 5
110 x 3
140 x 2
160 x 1
175 x 4 x 3 sets RPE hard !! LOL
175 x 4 +. Just kept it at 4 reps for the last set.

These felt hard tonight

Db bench
50 x 4 sets (110lbs) - 4, 4, 4, 4 (reps don’t include the first one when I lay down)
SS
Bench supported Dumbell row
37.5 x 4 sets - 4, 4, 4, 6
Very happy to get multiple with the 50’s tonight. Laying down with the heavy dumbells is like a visit to the chiro, back was clicking all over.

Overall a solid session. Deadlifts were heavy but ticked the box. I dropped the Bulgarians today cause legs were tired AF. Really happy with that Dumbell work.
It’s funny but you realise how far you have come when 4 sets of 4 with 175 (385lbs) feels a little disappointing.
