I’m a fan of putting MORE work on my body as a consequence for my mind having these thoughts. My favorite “trick” is, when I get excited that a workout is almost done, I add to it, as a penalty for feeling joy over being nearly done. Eventually, it learns to stop thinking that, haha.
I used to do a very sadistic move when training 400m intervals. Goal for the workout was either 4x400 or 6x400, depending on what I was doing. BUT, if during an interval I had a thought of stopping, i would add another. Not a thought of “I dont want to do this” but a thought of " I think I am actually going to stop mid run".
Worst it ever got was 14x400. That day went a LOT longer than expected. Normally it only ended up being 1-2 extra laps, and over time that dropped to 0-1.
You could have modified it. Just pick up and stand with the heavy, then add either too shoulder or over shoulder with the light bag, do two reps one each shoulder and then do 5 quick burpees.
Deadlift

110 x 3
140 x 2
Belt on
160 x 1
175 x 4 x 3 sets (385 lbs) - RPE 7, 7, 9
Speed on the last set was crap. Decided to be smart and stop at 3 sets.
Dumbell bench
42.5 x 8 x 4 sets (94 lbs)
Superset
Db before supported row
35 x 8 x 4 sets
I really do like using heavy dumbells for bench.
Feeling really tired and a little beat up tonight. Not my best session but I still got the work done.

Bench was good tonight. Rep PR on last set and overall volume PR at this weight.

100 x 6+ managed 10 solid reps
First time rowing 100kg - great way to blow up the forearms
Seated BNP
60 x 8 x 3 sets - these were proper hard work tonight but nice to be doing 1 biscuit each side.
SS
Hammer curls
22.5 x 8 x 3 sets
Happy with bench tonight. Rep PR and volume PR. 100kg rows felt good and I felt strong which is pretty cool.
