Pwn you know that feeling where you just can’t breath fast enough and you start to shake. That’s when I make that weird noise like it helps me, which it obviously doesn’t. Lol

Pretty sure @ChongLordUno and the burpee community at large calls these a ‘6 count’
From what I have seen most of the high rep burpee guys are not doing a jump but there is nothing to stop you.

Sunny Sunday burpees today. Was going to just do 100 but decided to change it and do 1 pump 2 pump 3 pump and repeat. Went to 102 just so I finished on a 3 pump. Good little session, with great chest pump.

Mentally wasn’t there tonight.

It’s been over 30c today so the gym was pretty warm and sticky. Very happy with how the weights moved. Don’t seem to be losing and real strength from the burpees which is a good thing.

Are you at all concerned about the more conditioning style stuff potentially interfering with the strength gains?

I definitely was which in truth was a big barrier to me starting to do any of this stuff. As I am not prepping for a meet right now I am not so concerned with max effort or peaking so if my rep strength is down a little it doesn’t matter. So far I haven’t seen any impact, squats are moving ok and deadlift feels really good.

Ye, I don’t mean that it will negatively effect the powerlifting things necessarily just that it could. I think a good base of aerobic conditioning is very beneficial for powerlifting. Mayb if doing it every day, hard af then it would be detrimental but sounds like you have a good balance.

I think that’s it. I am trying to work out the best days to do higher rep or longer conditioning sessions vs when to do a quickie and just move some blood around. I will keep pushing until I see an impact and then dial it back or change it.

First time 500 burpees tonight. This was tough and body feeling it now. I squatted yesterday so back and legs were already sore going into this. I paced myself and finished in just over 1 hour. Certainly not fast but I am super happy with that. I did what I thought was 515. The extra 15 were in case I miss counted. When I checked back I did indeed miss count in the first 100. Called 80 when it was 70. The rest of the counts were good though so with the extra reps I actually did 505. I don’t think I will be doing that again for a little while but I am glad I managed to get it done.
Thanks to @ChongLordUno for getting me started down this crazy path.

Not everyone’s vag is as old and dry as yours mate. You know you can get cream for that :wink:
