Just did a quick burpee recovery session today. 50 x 2 pump burpees to get the blood pumping. Chest was pretty sore from dips yesterday so these gave a good pump.
Here you go with the whole “burpees for recovery” myth. I swear you guys are trying to play some kind of April Fools.

Back in the gym tonight for some squat, bench and conditioning. Body feeling really good and mentally looking forward to training. It really does feel like doing more is magic!! Maybe @ChongLordUno @SvenG and @T3hPwnisher are on to something

Just catching up on your log, and I had to keep double-checking I wasn’t on @ChongLordUno 's log by mistake. I guess there’s no way around it: I’ve got to start incorporating burpees again in the near future or risk being ostracized by my colleagues on this site.

Not easy. Left lat has felt pulled for weeks now, seems to get triggered by sandbag carries.
Prowler

Doubled the last run so did 11.
Really enjoyed the gym tonight. I was really up for it tonight and felt good. Those prowler runs smashed my lungs hard but that’s called progress. Quality

I didn’t say burpees just that more work is magic. You already do more work that me.
I doubt that’s true. The only thing that accumulates a lot of work for me is the fact that I always train full body. But I don’t do much outside of my 4 training days atm.
Well 4 gym days is more than my 3. If you added time there I am guessing you would total more work. Now I have added the sandbag work and a few small burpee sessions then we probably total the same work time.
Strongman Saturday
Sandbag runs, just the normal 10 runs done every second minute.
Then tried out @T3hPwnisher Tower of Babel with a sandbag. It was as bad as I expected. I only worked up to six squats and then down again. Partly because I was short on time before I had to pick my daughter up from karate but mostly because I thought my lungs might leave my body. Legs were still strong. I am definitely going to try this again but push it a bit further.

Mate I thought I was going to fall flat on my face on rep 1. I knew from there on it was going to be a bad idea. Pretty sure you can see me shaking my head at one point as I think what am I doing.
