Strong reps mate.

Why did you avoid using the catchers on the squat?

I guess I was hoping I wouldn’t need to. Lol
No I have just got used to dumping the bar rather than using the rack.

Mate, I have no idea what you just lifted there as I was far too distracted by the sexy outfit.

Thanks chicken.

Great job! Nice lifts. You did well choosing weights, it looks like you got every last kilo “in.” Happy with all three lifts and the total must be some kind of record too.

Hope your mother-in-law doesn’t follow you on Instagram, she’s likely to faint.

I freaking love the KBs just along for the ride haha. I’m sure that had to throw off the balance a bit, probably had a few more lbs if using normal plates

Thanks Flats. For squat I just used all the plates I had. Coach and I both agreed afterwards that it was good I didn’t have anymore. I had my mind on 180 but it wouldn’t have been there. Deadlift I maybe had an extra couple of kilos if I didn’t have kettle bells hanging on there.

I am very happy overall though. 177.5 was a 7.5kg PR for squat and the 202 deadlift was a 10kg PR.

Feel like I have been hit by a bus today though. :joy:

Had a long soak in a hot bath tonight but for some strange reason it made me think of @Koestrizer :cold_sweat:

This week is going to be a deload so probably wont get too much training done. I have started to talk to coach about the next training blocks and have decided that I want to keep some strength focus on the mail lifts but to increase the supplemental and accessory volume to drive some hypertrophy. I will also add back in some conditioning to increase work capacity and make me feel less of a slob. Not sure exactly what it will look like yet but should have it planned out by the end of the week and I’ll update the log then.

Great work there, man! I think you need to invest in a few steel flat 20 Kg plates though, you’re clearly going to need more weight on the bar next time you test your maxxes.

I have held off with getting more weight as I am usually in the gym. Just happened to be lockdown this time around…AGAIN!! For normal training the weight is enough as I don’t usually get near a 1RM in training. If it looks like lockdowns are here to stay then I might try and find some but they are hard to get at the moment and expensive too.

I was able to get 475 on a bar using all bumpers and 1 set of steel 25’s I got for cheap from a local store. I couldn’t imagine getting any more than that using bumpers. You seem to have gotten pretty creative with it though!
