That was a hairy moment alright. Would the safeties not protect you better if you raised them a hole or two? (seems to be plenty of space judged by your lowest bar point.)

The safety heights on the rack are not great for me. If I go the next one up sometime the bar will hit it which puts me off. At this height I could have just put the bar on my chest and then crawled out ok. On this Set I was a little further down the bench so as I tried to press it into the J hook the weight was over my eyes, hence why I put it behind me. Looks worse than it was.

You and me both mate. I literally only post because that’s where the coach sees what I am doing, and for you guys on here to laugh at me. I really don’t understand why random strangers would watch or find my lifts interesting!!

One day not too soon lol. Couple of gyms doing the outdoor stuff now. Just rolling up the doors and dragging stuff a metre or two outside and its fine

120 x 1 (264 lbs) RPE 10 too slow
105 x 5 x 5 sets (231 lbs) RPE 10, 10, 10, 10 (only 4 reps), 10 (only 3 reps)
I am not in a good place with bench right now. I’ll just keep doing the work and one day it will improve.
Tried the safeties one hole higher today and it was ok. I must have gotten thicker !!

Squat
Bar x 10

110 x 2
117.5 x 8 x 4 sets (259 lbs) RPE 7, 7, 8, 9 (last rep was a bit of a good morning squat)
Breathing real hard after these. I really don’t love higher reps !!

Really feeling these in the lower back after the squats.
