Unfortunately because of lockdown gymnastics is closed at the moment. He still uses the rings at home and loves the monkey bars and climbing trees though.
Hard to tell in the video, but I think if you want to stick with the clean grip, you could hold the bar a little higher and still not choke yourself. You might also want to try pushing your elbows inward more. This could help maintain the position as well.
Fucking love all the comments under your instagram videos telling you to send photos to some modelling page. Looks like you’ve made it fella: you’re an instagram chick now. Always knew you had the ass for it.
Lmao tell me about. Who the fk wants to see pictures of an overweight old bloke !!
Someone else mentioned that earlier but that would require me having to buy straps.
End of discussion.
That’s my problem with them, too. I’m not sure if I can correct it, though. Physics and gravity will always win.
I think that is literally the problem everyone has with them. As soon as you put any appreciable weight on, your center of gravity makes you pivot forward as you squat down, and all the stress goes on your arms and wrists. Maybe most of us just aren’t built for them?
I know I’m not built for them. If you look at Olympic lifters then you’ll see that their knees go out a lot to allow them to stay upright after catching a clean or snatch. They definitely don’t look like us!
Yeah, some people just seem to manage to hold the correct position. But that said, the depth on that squat was terrible, I don’t think that guy even lifts.
I’m just amazed he can walk up and unrack it, every time I front squat it takes for ever to get it juuuust right and centered lol
His torso angle didn’t change at all. I can’t even do that with bodyweight!
I figure if I post enough videos of guys squatting monster weights but high, then I’ll eventually have subliminally skewed everyone’s perception enough that my decidedly average high squats will seem like atg!
Well, sure, but you might need to add a couple hundred kilo to it first.
I was quite clear they’d be decidedly average!
I think they should be fairly cheap?
Jezza makes front squats feel uncomfortable.
I think this is the heaviest front squat of all time. Might be number two but then number one would still be one of Jezza’s lifts.

Shoulders were tired and a little creaky tonight. I hate being not young!
Good session but this volume lark is not easy.
Neighbour had been painting a door today in the shed with an oil based paint. Fumes were hopefully anabolic !!! A little headache at the end, could be all the volume, could be the fumes !! Lol
Vids from tonight.
