I loathe anything beyond 5
That was probably my log.
High rep deadlifts are in the same ball park of awful as high rep squats.
High rep deads usually spell injury for me, high reps squats spell vomit.
These weren’t really high and they weren’t heavy. I guess I have got so used to doing 2-5 reps that 8 felt high.
I was going to say, but you out lift me so much the rest of the time I thought I’d leave it
I was commenting on the comment but yea sets of 8 isn’t high (I usually cap at 6 for my deads though) it’s amazing what you get used to - do low sets long enough everything feels like high reps!
Although those Bulgarians must have felt harder!
The most impressive thing about those Bulgarians is that he actually bothered to do 10 full reps for once.

They were horrible but then I always think they are horrible. Legs are feeling it today though.

Legs had a fair bit of doms but it didn’t really effect the squat. Wrists still don’t love these.

Push up - 15kg vest and handles

Arms
Concentration curls - 12.5kg x 10 x 3 sets
Dumbell alt curls 12.5kg x 10 x 3 sets
Barbel cheat curls 50 x 10 x 3 sets
Another great little session. This training block is starting to be really fun.
Did the concentration curls with the arm hanging and slowed them down a lot. Managed to get a bit more of a squeeze but still need to work on it. Arm pump as pretty strong tonight, forearms were like concrete
Have you tried using straps?
Na that would require me getting some straps. I only do these for 3 weeks, twice a year so I just put up with the pain.
Ok, but straps are relatively cheap and handy.
See now you are getting all logical on me and making me think twice.
Or just use cross grip, I’ve never bothered to try the other method I front squat probably less frequently than you though!

I can’t seem to get a comfortable position with cross grip. I just figured like @guineapig said I’ll ever get used to it or break !
DOMS in my legs and arse is extreme today. Had to do 5 sec tempo squat to sit on the toilet !! Walked the dog this morning to try and get me moving but every step was painful😀
Took Joey to the dog beach for a play this morning. He has the best time chasing the dogs through the water.
