Nah in all seriousness, 10kg a year is decent consistent gains - 4/5 years and you’ll hit masters powerlifting records if you can keep up that level of progress!

Also, when expressing PRs, it is allowed to suddenly switch to pounds. 22 pound PR is even more impressive.

Ten kilos per lift per year is 30 kilos on your total every year. In 10 years that’s 300 kilos.

Every six months five kilos? Very feasible. That’s somewhere between two and four per cent.

I was wondering when age would be a factor. If I was 35 I would be a bit more confident. Then I see people like Dave Ricks and realise I am a junior !! Lol

I’m fairly sure it’s less of a factor than you think.

Your technique is the one area that has room to generate significant increases in performance, which has almost nothing to do with strength and size and nothing to do with age. You’re still at the point where setup and bracing isn’t automatic, and where it tends to disappear as weight increases. As your ability to execute the lifts efficiently improves, your ability to move heavier weights in peak will increase. You want to get to the point where you aren’t muscling heavy lifts, and that ability has everything to do with executing technique automatically and nothing to do with age. As your ability to move correctly improves, so will your recovery. You will experience far fewer days where you lock up.

You’re carrying a good amount of muscle, which is slowly increasing. That’s the one aspect which age will influence, so your rate of gain will be much slower. What we’ve seen from you, though, is consistent increase in lean mass. So even though it’s slow, it’s there. You likely won’t fill out the 100 kilo class, but definitely the 90s. You’re sitting somewhere close to 90, right? In five to 10 years I can see you sitting around 95 kilos with similar body composition. That’s going to generate steady increases in strength.

Lastly, adding two to four per cent to your max every six months only means you hit new records in peak. Outside of that the weight you use in training doesn’t increase much at all. You might see an increase of 2.5 to five kilos on working sets, not more.

You’re already big, brah. Like how you’re wondering if you can finish this cycle by deadlifting 270kg and based off of your videos, you could deadlift 270kg in your sleep after a night of heavy drinking.
