Mostly the second. I’m taking the opportunity for a bit of a mini cut before gyms reopen. I’m not strong enough to be as fat as I am.
Lol that’s why I train for strength, hoping one day I can be strong enough to match my girth!! Even if you are cutting you still gotta get that protein in.
If it makes you feel any better, I have lost…7 kilo or so in the last 5 months, and I feel like I am just as fat, and far less strong. Cutting is dumb.
This is the conclusion i made after last years transformation cut too.
That has never stopped me before…

On the second down set I lost the weight forward a little on the last rep, managed to squat / good morning it up.
Squats were ok tonight. Lower back was cooked by the end and right knee moaned a little. But got it done.

Missed the first try at 120. Set up was all wrong, took too long getting into position. Was fkn angry and that helped the second attempt.
Down sets were fine.

Did these without the sleeves, knees were a little creaky. So glad there is no more sets of 8 reps. Was blowing hard after 6!!!

Some good, some bad and some ugly tonight! Bad was the miss on the bench single, it was a mess. Good was coming back and hitting the single second attempt. And ugly was just me seeing myself in the mirror !!

I think that’s the first time I remember seeing you fail a lift in training.
Lol, it doesn’t happen often. There is an other vid on my IG of me failing bench from probably about 2 years ago. No excuses I just didn’t switch on properly or set up under the bar right. I was never going to get that first one, mentally I was in the wrong place.
