My plan for this week was to add another session in Thursday or Friday with some squat and bench and then to start the peak on Monday.
I was a little unlucky and got hit by a car on my motorbike ride home from work tonight. Guy didn’t see me and pulled his 4WD out into me at a roundabout. He hit the side of the bike which then squashed my left leg between the bike and his car. I was lucky enough to keep the bike upright and stop without going down. Not too much damage to the bike, nasty scrape across the front corner of his car. Nothing is broken (I think) but leg is pretty sore. I’ll see how it feels tomorrow and may just rest and start the peak on Monday.
Su his ass
Lol. Getting hit by a car is almost a guarantee when you ride a motorcycle. This isn’t my first rodeo
. He was very good about, was just leaving work and his boss was just behind him. They both stopped and made sure I was ok and I have details for insurance if need be.
Make more gains to protect from injury then. That’s scary as
Lucky your alright mate.
Thanks @I_Luc.
@guineapig a combination of riding experience, good reflexes, physical strength to control the bike, Good motorcycle boots and my big ass sexy calves have all helped me to get away with only some bruising !! ![]()

I that case I think I’ll get a bike after this home gym splurging is done. My calves dent cars
Sucks you got hit, glad it wasn’t major
Glad you’re alright man.
Damn sounds like a close call Rob, glad to hear you’re fine.
Just yesterday on patrolling a dude on a scooter came against us, not wearing helmet and probably a stolen one too.
He sweeped across the road to cross the pavement and some grass to flee in between som buildings.
But he just almost lost it when he crossed the road, we got a major laugh, as he made it, tried to hide his face and giving us the middle finger. In his mind he must have been cool.
To us he was a scared youngster with a scared face.
I hope you’ll be able to lift in a few days
Ah, so it’s the old “can’t do squats today because I got hit by a car whilst riding a motorbike” excuse. Man, the stuff people come up with these days.
I actually once got hit (in my car) by a guy on a moped. He just smashed my rear bumper, and it was enough to scratch things up and bust a light. Dude’s moped didn’t really work anymore, and he probably broke a few bones in his hand, possibly a mild concussion. Felt kinda bad that I had to get his insurance info to repair my car, just wasn’t that guy’s day.
Yer I know what a weak kunce!!
I will be fine. Will get some squat and bench in tomorrow night and still start the peak weeks on Monday. It is still a little swollen today but just feels like a rugby or footie injury. Or as my wife said feels like I’ve been kicked by a horse !
Tough as nails man
. Glad to hear you’re alright and didn’t sustain any meaningful damage.
Your bike will be repaired and if it wasn’t, I’ll quote my dad after a pretty spectacular car crash of mine: “fuck the car, that’s just metal and plastic. I am only worried about flesh and bones.”
I was kind of alright in case I never told the story btw., Haha.
Damn, Simo, glad he wasn’t driving my truck! @jackolee’s truck probably would’ve rolled right over you. It’s a good thing you Aussies don’t all drive monster trucks like us.
Lol it was still a pretty big truck mate just not giant size like you septic tanks drive
Some of the newer tanks have a step bar that automatically comes down when you open the door.
All I see is something expensive that’s going to break.
Yer I agree, I’m not a big fan of over engineering.
Funny thing is, whenever I have been knocked or fell off a motorbike I usually am worried about the bike. My normal response is ‘I heal for free’, ‘rebuilding that bike is going to cost me thousands !! ![]()
