That’s what I like to hear, time to crush this next cycle.
Guys, I bought a box of those Weetabix Mini Chocos. For now, I am going to save it for the Corona Apocalypse. Because even when its the end of the world, we need to treat ourselves.

Bench from tonight. Moved ok
Looks good.
Thanks mate. It felt ok, I find it always looks faster than it feels!! (That’s what she says!!)
I never video myself benching, because I am sure I will look more like someone who is just desperately trying to avoid getting squished by the bar and is yet too stupid to stop pressing.
Lmao now you have to video it so we can all see ![]()

Well, you have seen my logs. I mean, my warmup sets are probably all decent, if a bit quick. But then I do these balls-to-the walls working sets which require some speed to help reduce TUT. Even the 350 sets I have started playing with require me to move the bar like I’m holding a jackhammer.
I may video myself, but that’s not a promise that you will ever see it =)
Well then I would reduce weight, mostly because 350 sets is all about building muscle and thus keeping a high TUT focusing on the muscle moving.
I did 350 sets and ended up like you moving like a jackhammer, but I’m sure that’s not the intention.
Didn’t have a great sleep last night, after last nights training my legs were throbbing all night. The VMO and hip inserts were the worst area. Sitting on the couch in front of the TV was not nice, kept changing position. stretching, massaging but legs just throbbed hard whatever I did. They didn’t really hurt just throbbed and ached. This made it really hard to get comfortable at night when trying to sleep.
Strangely legs feel ok this morning, still a mild ache but only what I would consider normal the day after training.
That sounds really weird considering you didn’t even work them hard or did an unusual amount of volume in your last session.
Yer I agree, I am thinking maybe I was a little dehydrated, I was sweating pretty hard in training yesterday and I was really hot all last night. Feel fine today though. I’ll make sure I drink extra water today and hopefully that will do the trick.
That’s looking decent, quite an improvement. Push back into your traps with your heels more, it’ll improve tension. Do that before even unracking and maintain till you’re done.
Thanks Mark, I’ll deff work on that tonight. I was pretty happy with how they looked too, bar path was good and speed was ok.
Absolutely. It was much better than before. You got idea of heels to traps, now it’s just a matter of refining it.
That’s good advice, but as of now I am only just playing around with the 350 sets as I have never tried them before. Also, I tend to…embellish and exaggerate when I write, because it amuses me. It is true that I do reps quickly in some cases, but it is in control and on purpose. I also do a lot of normal stuff and a lot of extremely slow reps and isometric holds.
