Simo - The Red Shoe Diaries (Part 1)

This is the quickest way I’ve ever done across to epilate my forearms.

Checked in with coach today and the plan for this week is to do very little.
From next week we are going to start what he called a Restorative Block (think he borrowed that term from Mike Tsucherer!!).
After that we are going back to Volume/hypertrophy and start to build again. Looking forward to doing some volume whilst eating big to the end of the year.

That sounds like a great plan. I’m sure you wouldn’t mind the pump either

Yep looking forward to some big gainzzzzzz

No training again last night. My appetite has been weird this week. Don’t really feel like eating (although that hasn’t stopped me). And I feel tired all the time. Getting lots of sleep but still knackered.

You’re recovering. A peak takes a lot out of you.

I thought this but have never experienced it so was not sure. come to think of it, it is pretty similar to how I used to feel after a half marathon or other mid distance race. Should have known really.

You were describing how I feel after yesterday’s leg session. I ran today and then took a nap.

Recovery can take it out of you for sure. Wish us Americans had cool words like knackered

LOL I didn’t know that wasn’t a word you used. Could have also said buggered but that can often be misinterpreted !

Are you doing some light cardio do get the blood flowing?
I would be pretty beat up as well, that meet must have taken a lot out of you.

@mortdk is onto something. Some sled pushes or something would help you when you start training again.

Little bit of walking at work but nothing else. I’ll do about 30 mins in the gym tomorrow and maybe 40 mins on Friday. I’ll just move some light weight, maybe do some prowler work. wont train properly till next week…

I would recommend leaving the weights and just moving the prowler.

What do you think about 30 mins of prowler, push ups and pull ups ??

Sounds horrible.

I was thinking something like push the prowler for a total of 50 metres, maybe a little more. Then maybe do some lat pulldowns and rear delts or something.

Seriously, all you want to be doing this week is getting your heart rate up a little and pumping some blood through your muscles.

Push ups are just and easy pump for me, but maybe I’ll swap pull ups for a back machine :joy:

Do that.

I just avoid anything even close to a movement I’ve done during the peak.

I would probably be stupid enough to do push ups, pull ups, bw squats and I would hit the ergo rower or a bike for the heart rate to raise. I’ve never used a prowler but that could be fine as well.
But you should listen to Mark, he is the oracle for such things around here.
