Woke at ‘i have no fkn idea’ kgs I am not weighing myself every day any more. Work shirts and pants are getting a little tighter so I no I am expanding. Waist on the pants isn’t too tight yet so I know I am not getting too blubbery around the middle. I felt pretty good getting up this morning, had a solid sleep last night and was expecting to have much more DOMS in the quads. Was feeling good about mysfelf until I swung a leg over the motorbike to come to work this morning and felt the DOMS in my inner thighs … holy crap !!

This is something I don’t miss. Staring at something on the bottom shelf and thinking “do I really need that, or is there anyway at all I can go about my day without it”.
Your consistency and work ethic is fantastic by the way.

Not really I just done care how much I weigh right now. I am not trying to make weight for anything so as long as I dont get too gross i’m not going to focus on it too much.

Solid but boy was I out of breath.

Good session tonight. Bench wasn’t as explosive as I would have liked. The bar I was using wasn’t my preferred (it was a little thin). But still got all the reps. Squats were good. Deff could have done at least 3 more each set.

This block is working out pretty darn good.

This was a little harder than I wanted tonight. I felt great after training yesterday but boy what a difference a day makes. Today I felt like I had been hit by a small truck!! Neck was jacked up, I had a knot on my back like a golf ball, so I wasn’t looking forward to training tonight. Got through it ok and only missed 2 reps of deadlift. Pretty happy with it in the end but not looking forward to how I will feel over the weekend.

Woke up sore today, mostly in the upper back. Legs and hips feel tight but not sore which is a big win. Really feel like the body is adjusting nicely to squatting and bench three days a week.
I have a deload week (kinda) next week. It’s not a full deload more like a small reduction in weight and volume. I’ll still hit heavy squat, bench and deads in the week but the overall volume will be lower.
Will start talking to the coach about what comes next. I am thinking we will continue another block like this one and keep pushing the weights up.

Usually when I wake up sore and all fucked up I am getting a lurgie of some sort.

Yer I sometimes get that too. But this isn’t lurgy this is deff just accumulation of fatigue. Will focus a bit more on recovery this week and with the slightly lower volume should be good to go again.

Thanks @mortdk I was pretty happy with it. I looked back and 6 reps with 152.5kg was a rep PR for me. So three sets of 6 and a set of 4 was a massive volume PR.
Body is really feeling it this weekend though. Lower back is tight and sore and neck was a little stiff yesterday. Neck seems better today but back is still very tight and sore everywhere !!

Monday 29th July - deload week

125 x 3 x 5 sets (275 lbs) RPE 9, 9, 8 (bit quicker), 8 happy with this set, felt slow out of the whole but quick at the top, 9 hard

Tried to hit depth on these and managed on most. Slower than I wanted but probably expected.

First set All with proper pause
Totally missgroved the last rep of the second set and had to wrestle it back to my chest from my belly and then press it from a complete pause. Grinder !!!
Just repped our the last 3 sets. No pause. These felt heavy tonight.

1 min rest - all pretty easy, crazy pumps.

Lower back tight after squats. Body feeling the effort of the last 4 weeks but I think the lower volume this week will help. Happy with how the session went albeit a little slower than perfect.

Looking back to January, you were doing a similar type of session with 85kg on the bar. Something is working.
