Great little Friday night session today. Everything went to plan. Deadlifts moved well, squats were solid, still a little head movement but I noticed it and locked it down quickly. Got a nice little pump from bench and back work. Happy.

Fatsique update. Took a couple of shots after the gym tonight. I’m sitting about 83kgs right now (183 lbs). I’ve added a little fluff since April but still happy.

You’re holding that weight well. Upper back and quad mass really stand out. Also, those forearms look like you would have a handshake to be scared of.
Thanks mate. Forearms have always been good for me. I put it down to 7 years of playing tennis before I started lifting weights.
Woke at 84.1kg, must have eaten too much last night !! Back and hips pretty tight this morning but only muscle soreness so all is good.
My son and youngest daughter have their first gymnastics class at a new gym today. Then it will be a day of jobs like garden and car washing and whatever the boss (wife) adds to the list.
Those deadlifts look solid! 325 x four sets of six is good work.
Which do you find more aerobically challenging, higher rep squats or deadlifts?

I agree. I was thinking about the question and decided I must find high rep deadlifts easier, because I used to rep out with 225 pounds/ 100 kilograms after every deadlift session, but I don’t remember that many high rep squat burnouts lol.

I’m around 1.72 or 5ft 8 in old money.
My niece came over to visit today with her 4 month old son. I decided to give her car a Good clean as it was pretty gross. Spend 3 hours washing and polishing the car to make it shine like new. Lots of time squatting and bending which felt ok at the time. Now my back is very sore, serious DOMS setting in now. Tomorrow is not going to be fun !!!

It’s nice to do things that make people happy. My niece and us (me and wife) have a special relationship because her mum (my wife’s sister) lived with us for the first year of her life and she spend most weekends as a child with us. Due to dad being an oxygen thief !!
She just moved into a new house and wife decided new couches would be a nice moving in present (I was thinking pot plant lmao). So she has a very good auntie too. Makes my car cleaning sound less significant but it made her smile so I’m still happy.
