Sigh of Relief - Total Troop Withdrawal

There was no world wide consensus that WMDs are there, and definitely no consensus about war.

What the fuck? Where you hiking the Appalachian trail or some how waaaaaaay out of contact with any sort if information?
There was a world wide consensus on both. We went in as a coalition, the U.S. was not alone here. Hell we had a UN resolution and everything.
It was a myth that Saddam was happy to perpetuate. He wanted people to think he had them as he himself admitted in his jail interviews. He wanted Iran in particular to think he had them. He didn’t let the inspectors in because he really thought we were bluffing.

You don’t have to be for the war, I wasn’t tickled about it, but the fact of consensus is true and it’s also true that if Saddam had been more forth coming and complied with UN resolutions there would have been no war.
Actually, we should have taken Saddam out the first time, of all the blunders that was the biggest one.

Chief…you certainly did.

…Saddam had no desire of going to Saudi Arabia, there was no buildup of his troops on the border, and there are satellite photos to prove this…

…Just because you didn’t see this on FOX news, doesn’t make it false…[/quote]

Not to bash all students but that pretty much tells me what I needed to know as it is inevitable around here to see students, more than any other category of poster, spouting revised history.

Apparently he got a A+++++ in revisionist history.

Don’t like history? Just change it to be what you want, really nobody will notice.
