Sick While on a Cutting Diet

I did a search, but everything seemed to be related to being sick and bulking diets. So, I’ve had a slight cold for a while, but last night and today it’s turned into a full blown sinus infection plus either a really bad cold, or maybe the flu. I’m currently on a cutting diet. ~2300 cal a day, 50% protein, 30% carbs (mostly from veggies and a daily banana), taking multi’s and everything… I’m already taking the day off of working out, but should I keep on trucking with my current diet, or is that calorie/carb defecit going to do me more harm than good?

A caloric deficit may prolong recovery though, I doubt that 2300kcal would be considered that much of a deficit though.

Right now i have a horribly painful head cold, and am also on a cutting diet. What I am doing is putting everything in liquid form, so I get my calories yet my body doesn’t need to expend much energy processing it.

Being sick derailed my last cut. It was mostly the accompanying migraine, though. But, I would go on how you feel. The faster you get better, the sooner you can get back to a regular cut. I don’t expect to make any progress while I’m sick.
