Sick Of Myself

Alright, I’m sick of being fat, tired, sweaty, and an eye sore for all who cross my path. I’m not new to fitness, I’ve run a couple marathons, but have never really lifted weights. Now I am just fat. Can’t really say it snuck up on me, it takes work to get this fat. Currently I am 6’1" and around 240 lbs. I am writing to see what you guys have for your best advice tip when it comes to lifting weights. I know the running and cardio side, but I want to build muscle.

I’ll post a pic in the next couple days, but look at your own risk. I’ve been reading for quite some time on this site, and this seems like the place to go for advice.

Get a solid lifting plan set, centered around compound lifts. Get your diet in order. Don’t do cardio on lifting days.
