Eating chicken 2 or 3 times a day is getting old. My dad fishes alot and therefore i have an abundance of fish, primarily speckled trout and redfish. Does anybody know how much fish(not tuna or salmon)is required to obtain 40g of protein?
Its roughly 7 grams of protein per ounce of fish. So, 6 oz. or 1/3 of a pound.
I’m not sure of exact protein amounts but I will tell you that orange roughy has loads of protein in it. Tuna, and salmon are also extremely high protein. You can buy orange roughy in packages that will give you the exact amount per serving. Tuna is about 13g per serving, and it takes about 4 servings to make a decent sized meal. You can cook salmon or orange roughy on an electric grill, eat, and clean up in about fifteen minutes. I like to use lemon pepper and dried terragon for flavor. Tuna is even easier.
Man, if you can eat alot of fish, EAT IT!
Fish contains enough of proteins and what’s even better
is the fact it contains alot of omega-3 and omega-6 fatties.
If I could eat both fish and chicken in aboundance I’d be one happy bodybuilder, but the irony is that here in Iceland where the economy is still largely dependent on fish exports, the price per kg of fish is even higher than that of 1st Class fillet.
