form looks good hoss… just needs to be faster and a more forceful with the hips through. as the weight gets heavier, you will need to get faster or you will start to develop some nasty sticking points.

gett’n there definitely.
Serious thanks for your input on these lifts man. I know you’re a busy dude. I owe you like a case of beer or something. You in VA? You get Yeungling down there? How about Dogfish (Delaware)?

I’m working on the speed off the ground. Trying. Next week is deload, so I’m gonna try to rip that shit off the floor.

It is always on my mind ("It is always on my miiind) It it always… on my mind.

Does Inzer make an ‘assless squat suit’?

Just make sure and ask the “right guy” for a spot doing your max squat attempt…
LMAO! “Hey, is that a FatGripz in your pocket, or are you just happy to spot me?”

Did you see the vid someone posted with the guy spotting the bench press? It approaches what Meat suggests… (have to see if I can dig it up)

i’m not sure about the suit but i find that the best way to get my training partner through a sticking point on the bench press is to t-bag his forehead while i’m spotting him. you’d be suprised to see how fast that bar moves then.

these tips are gold. don’t be give’n 'em out.
Maybe it depends who’s benching and who’s teabagging. I spent a few sets with a buddy’s bag on my forehead. It didn’t seem to do anything for me except keep my head warm.

You know it was fitting you were wearing a cowboy hat when those cows went by.

Well, I mean afterall, it WAS “Free Donut and Grain Bucket Night” in the cardio area…

it’s such a turn on to see a chick walk by and their spandex pants look just a bunch of puppies fighting under a blanket.

now that’s hot.

Good pullin SteelyD !!

I second what MMeat said on the speed thing esp. on Sumo style - you will get stuck in the hole .

We always end our DL sessions with 3x3 or 5x2 with “speed pulls” with 50% of 1rm to always keep our speed when pulling or just 1 day do 10x3 speed pulls up to 70%.

Oh and another thing it looks like your going spellunking into that women on one of your pulls  lol

I like the comments on the video - enjoyable to say the least.

Is it a good or a bad thing then that I actually felt that I held back a little with my comment? I originally was going to go a little farther with it.

You are the Man.
that hat is awesome
I laughed hard at that , nice work
form has improved.

kmc

HILARIOUS!!

But strong…

Shoulderz

Warmups, blah, blah

Seated DB Sh. Presses:
25x10
55x5
80x8
90x5

DB Lat Raise:
10, 10, 10, 45x10 +3 +1

C1: DB Upright Raise: 10, 10, 65x8
C2: Seated front raise: 10, 10, 30x10 (need to move up)

*D: Semi-Pin Press (from dead stop): 135x10, 205x8, 225x6
**E: High “Pin Press” (Smith Mach): 180x8, 230x3, 200x6

 • – tried to do these in the squat rack (don’t have cage) and the bar sits just above my chest, so a bit low. Tried to use some towels on the rack and 4" thick piece of foam to get the bar higher. Was more like a board press on foam on my chest.

** – S.M. was just a little too high (this is like the 3 Bears and Goldilocks…). Exploded of the pins and back down, so the reps were more like real fast singles.

I’m just here to gloat about the fact that I’ll have a cage on Saturday.

What is a semi and a high pin press? What’s a smith machine? hahaha. Seriously about the first two.

Unless it moved since I lived there, is the Y still just a few blocks from “PJs”?

HAAAAAA!!! No, they gutted that building and built a brand new facility next to Capitol Park, next to the Police station. PJ’s is still there in all its gay glory.

Awesome about the cage! Did you get the keg attachment?

The ‘semi’ pin press was ‘sort of kinda like a’ pin press. Had to do it in the squat rack, so the height wasnt adjustable, and the bench was a little high, so the bar really sat about 1" above my chest (too low). Just the opposite in the Smith-- the safety bracket sat a bit too high, so it approximated a pin press, just a high one.

Don’t mind me. I’m just improvising at this place that passes for a ‘gym’.
