Shut Up 'n Lift! (Log)

Your getting lost of good feedback Steely!!
Nice lifts!

And another thing I noticed about your lifts in this log, and even the one’s in MM’s, is that your reps get stronger as you go along…

I like the bandana - is the beanie retire for spring?

Thx dude.

“Headwear” is whatever is closest to me when I reach for it. Although, I have to admit, I look funny working out in the cowboy hat.

You should come to Oklahoma. The cowboy hat would fit right in. They claim, if in state, it adds 5% to your max!
Snakeskin boots are worth another 5%…if you kill it yourself.

Hel might want to check into that.

I was wondering why these damn weights never get any lighter— I keep using heavier weight!! DAMN IT ALL!

Good eye! I think that’s the trend most of us are looking for. One of the beauties of keeping a log is that you can look back and see how (if) you’ve progressed.

Still a long, long, long, long way to go…

I saw you posted and was hoping for another video.

You know how all the guys check out the ‘t-vixen pic thread’ for ass shots of some of the ladies, well I come hear for videos of your gym 'tards. I feel a bit let down.

I think you should wear a cowboy hat. I’d pay to see it.

Well, of course you are getting stronger…but I meant, in a specific set of whatever you are doing…take your RDL’s you did not too long ago…the first rep looked not so good, but as you continued along in that set, your form IMPROVED! Usually people are the opposite…

I hope my babbling made a tiny bit of sense :stuck_out_tongue:

I can see I’ll have to start thinking more about what I wear to the gym, and perhaps worrying less about diets and supplements.

Details, man, details.

Wearing chaps will add 20# to your deadlift (and keep you from scraping the hair off your shins)

Assless chaps add an additional 50lbs… above the 20 Steely mentioned. He’s keeping all the secrets to himself, but I’ll let you in on them…

Yeah, but assless chaps are for cheaters. ‘Cheater chaps’.

This is my point about videos. I need some.

FWIW, crotchless panties add a mere 30lbs

Nice job Steely! That last rep looked as good as the first one.

I must say I’m relieved that you didn’t come out with chaps for the max set!

I just about died laughing. People at your gym must have thought you arrived on the short bus. You’ve at least ensured no trainers will stand too close to you.

Did you read the part about assless chaps adding a ton to your lift? I’ll give you this, your form looked marvelous the entire time. I wish I could replicate the form and pull off a cowboy hat like that

hahahaha that’s amazing! I’m totally in love!

Since you took her request, does that mean assless chaps are next week?

LMAO! You see the girl to the right (I think the 2nd set)? She passed by me on the way to the bar and the rowing machine is just to the right of camera. She was giving me the ‘weird dude in the gym’ look. When she walked by I winked and said “HOWdy!”.

Got a lot of WTF looks (more than usual).

re: Assless chaps. Maine just signed ‘gay marriage’ into law and Augusta the capitol (where I work out) has a large resident population, many of which work out at “The Y”. I will not be wearing assless chaps (until I hit a wall with my lifts).

Does Inzer make an ‘assless squat suit’?

form looks good hoss… just needs to be faster and a more forceful with the hips through. as the weight gets heavier, you will need to get faster or you will start to develop some nasty sticking points.

gett’n there definitely.

Just make sure and ask the “right guy” for a spot doing your max squat attempt…

[quote]SteelyD wrote:

i’m not sure about the suit but i find that the best way to get my training partner through a sticking point on the bench press is to t-bag his forehead while i’m spotting him. you’d be suprised to see how fast that bar moves then.

these tips are gold. don’t be give’n 'em out.
