Shredding Article

A year ago there was a good write up about a basic shredding routine. The cliff notes were to do high rep low weight while drinking 3gallons of water and eating no carbs for the last 5 days. Then 1-2days out you switch and cut water, and eat simple sugars with carbs.

  1. Does anyone know where this is, I’d like to send to a friend as well as make sure I didnt miss anything
  2. Is this still a suggested routine for a more casual cut (I’m just shredding for a sun and fun day and want to look good)

Not for a casual cut. This is a bitch. For a casual cut, just cut back on salt for a few days. Maybe take a diuretic the night before and morning of if you want.

This approach also only works if you’re already fairly lean,… like single digit bodyfat lean, otherwise, don’t bother torturing yourself with all those trips to the bathroom from 3 gallons of water each day.

I told myself I would do this once every year. I’m not a man to believe in the dogma of religions, but there is something spiritual about the control one must compose while going through this week. Getting laid on the last day is a little counter spiritual, but that is completely besides the point! Thanks gents!

Oh and other than fish, a few pieces of meat, egg whites, and protein shakes…Is there anything else I can eat? I’m gonna get the carbs from the shakes

I cut my creatine about a week and half ago to lower the water absorption but am still on OEP/AT2/Jack3d and wondering when I should cut them? I’m just wondering if the effects will be too high on the intensely low carb diet.
