Not to mention, Trinity already killed Dexter’s wife, and now another crazy guy is targeting him.
I still think trinity didn’t do it.
I never really thought much about this, till I read it here. You might be right. Heres why, the trinity killer only kills in 3’s, right? each with a different mode of death. One is the drowning in the tub, with slicing of wrists, another is falling to their death. and another i think is being beaten with some sort of instrument. Dex’s wife would only make 1. That makes no sense at all.
Rita should’ve been forced to jump to her death, as that is the mother’s way to die in Trinity’s scenario. It’s the younger, single woman who have their femoral arteries slit in the bathtub.

But Trinity wasn’t a robot. He was clearly capable of operating in the heat of the moment. It doesn’t make sense to assume he would be incapable of acting outside his usual pattern in order to exact revenge on the guy fucking him over. And besides, every trinity killing has to start with that first one. Dexter may very well have caught him before it could progress.

That being said, this is a dead route. There’s no motive for anyone else to have killed Rita, storyline has moved on and trying to drag it back to the surface would be way too forced.

Deb and Dexter got divorced in real life. They probably don’t want to work together any longer. This is the way to remove her. She dies in Episode 1 next season.
See, I don’t know about that, either.

I mean, outside of, what, the exorcism movie and White Chicks, it’s not like Deb is watching Hollywood beat down her door for additional roles. Makes no sense to want to hop off the gravy train with only a couple seasons left, but I guess she might be operating under woman logic.

I don’t even know the circumstances behind their divorce, so it could’ve been a heated one stinking up the set.

First, I agree with your assessment of Deb’s post-Dexter acting career. OK yeah she was in that Quarantine movie…but yeah to me while she’s kind of interesting in this role, I’m not sure about her broader appeal.

That said, maybe this has nothing to do with woman logic…this might be a case of Producer-logic. That is, “OK, Jennifer Carpenter is starting to become a pain in the ass on set…fan surveys place her as unpopular…time to kill off Deb.”

Major speculation, I’m kind of doubtful that it’ll happen, but who knows (until next year)?

The reason would have to be her becoming difficult on set, because it’s not like she spent the past five seasons as a fan favorite.

Guys, I can with all certainty, guarantee that they will never have Dexter kill deb. that is simply not going to happen. Dex would never hurt deb. People are nuts to not like deb in this show. shes incredible in her role. But, if she was conflicted and tormented before, next season, it might be to much for her. but either way, dex will never hurt her. Why would you want to leave one of the top 3 or 4 best shows on tv. not very likely.

Anyone willing to take a bet on Dexter killing Deb within the first 5 minutes of the season premier?
I think that Deb Kills herself. I understand that it’s supposed to be dramatic but lets look at her relationships:

Father that never truly loved her.
Dated Rudy, AKA Brian AKA Ice Truck Killer
Dated Lundy only to be left by him
Dated Anton, to watch him nearly get skinned alive
ReDated Lundy, To watch him get shot and killed right in front of her.
Nearly got married to quinn, arguably leaving the healthiest relationship she’ll ever have.
Discovers love for her brother, to (eventually) find out he’s a serial killer.

This isn’t shit that you can just “talk it out” with a therapist.
True dat

I think they’re trying to set up Deb’s dark passenger. She’s been engaged to a serial killer who turned out to be Dexter’s brother, she dated Lundy who was killed by a serial killer, she dated that black dude who was skinned alive by a serial killer, and now she’s in love with her brother, who just so happens to be a serial killer. Anybody who’s gone through all that is going to be pretty seriously fucked up in the head. The series finale will be Dexter getting caught/killed, and Deb will have to raise Harrison and teach him the code.

Yeah, because everything Dexter could hope for is Harrison to have the same wonderful life that Dexter has, better yet let’s teach Deb about passing it on.

Dexter new season starts Sunday! I cannot wait.

It starts Sunday??? Actually

Bump

Thoughts on the first episode?

^^Episode was so sick.

This season looks amazing. They’ve gotta go out with a big bang. I think deter will die at the end of this season.

I’m so excited for this season.

I was kind of getting over this show. It seemed to be repeating itself without any greater story arc. After the end of season 6(which I only saw a week ago)/start of season 7 I am once again a Dexter fan.

I think Jennifer Carpenter’s acting has improved too. Either that or I’ve finally gotten used to her silly facial expressions and forced swearing.

I don’t like the fact that Debra always seems like she could have a panic attack at any given moment, you know?

I always thought season one was the best one, it seems like they’re gonna bring up those story lines again which is cool.

I liked it alot and as many of you have said, this season looks like its gonna bee really good.

@Gregron: There is going to be a season after this so Dexter is probably not going to die.

I’m only on season 4 and would so very much love for Deb to die. I hate her so much.

Awesome. Can’t wait to see the next episode.

Wished they had killed off Quinn instead of Mike.

Right? I was actually kind of liking Mike and expected a cool arc with him.

There’s enough cool arcs to be witnessed this season already. Black Cop had to go…it would have made more sense if it was his last day on the job though.
