In the beginning of the series, and even the books, he was portrayed as much more fucked up then they’re making him now.
Surely it cannot end well for him. It was one of the hardest episodes to watch - ever. It was very good, don’t get me wrong. But to see Dexter’s non-reaction (by our standard) highlighted so starkly (ie his 911 phonecall) it really hits home about what type of mind he has.
Can’t wait for the rest of it. Would be happy if this is his last outing.
Does anybody predict some kind of climactic showdown with Deb? It has to happen of course - she has to find out. I’m sure she will. How she’ll react is what I’m waiting for.
This is going to end with Dexter Dead and his sister raising the kids. Then maybe a shot 5 or 10 yrs down the line with the baby standing over a dead Cat and Deb taking over as Her father did for Dexter.

Definitely glad Aster and Cody got shipped off to live with their grandparents… I wouldn’t have been able to handle a whole season of their whining.
While I’m enjoying the overall plot of this season, I’m disliking the fact that Dexter’s ‘Dark Passenger’ is pretty much entirely absent. Outside of the occasional kill and a passing reference to his ‘urge’ to put someone on his table, he comes across a little too normal for my liking. Even when he does kill someone it just seems to be missing something. I’m sure if I watched the first season again the difference would be striking.
I did get a kick out of Masuka’s erotic asphyxiation scenario two episodes back. I wouldn’t complain if they put the Batista/LaGuerta “romance” on the back burner for a while and gave Masuka a little more time on camera.
Oh, and Quinn is a huge fag. Can’t wait for him to get killed.
He’s definitely been “off” in regards to his own kills, but that’s because he’s busy helping Lumen’s dumbass. Can he just PIIHB already and be done with her?

Not sure how I feel about Lumen just yet, though I am interested to see where they go with her as a character (as long as it’s not a boring, season finale, “whew, you helped me put THAT in the past!”).

I don’t see Quinn getting killed just yet, I think there will be some sort of fallout when Quinn’s buddy LIddy crosses the line, I think he will go to the house and threaten Lumen and Dexter will kill off the Liddy character and confront Quinn and Quinn will back off and generally be scared of Dexter.
Also, I see Lumen getting killed at the end, somehow I think she will betray Dexter and he has to kill her because she betrayed his “code” and she has to be killed. Or she could end up be a new love interests to him and lets him kill and takes care of Harrison. Too soon to tell.
It’s looking like Lumen is Dexter’s new gal, but I just can’t see him replacing Rita that fast. Especially with Aster and Cody around (they CAN’T be gone for good, right?).
And, I realy hope Quinn gets killed off. I haven’t liked him since his first episode appearance lol

Dexter’s not normal, so it wouldn’t be odd (from our perspective) for him to move onto Lumen so fast.
My guess is that Quinn’s investigator is going to do something stupid and really cross the line, and Quinn will end up not being a problem via a combination of his new infatuation with Deb and fear for his own backside after Liddy does something stupid.
Hell yeah, that was a great one, how the fuck do you explain leaving on a boat at 3am with luggage, when I’m sure the guy stuck around until they got back without it. The suspense!!!

Gonna be interesting for sure. I can see either Quinn not wanting to use the info, and somehow they’ll kill off the P.I. (either lumen or dexter probably), or Quinn deciding to go for it and getting killed by either. lol.
RoboCop is getting killed, I think Dexter will kill him violently for following Lumen and taking those photos. I can see Quinn killing Liddy and pinning a drug deal got bad on his death.
The shows are really starting to pick up and the killing will be coming nonstop (I hope) and it will be an interesting story to see how it all plays out.

Kill the motivational speaker and his bodyguard on one night instead of just the bodyguard, and then Lumen would leave with her ex/delayed spouse and she’s be gone.
Also, who else pretty much knew that the motivational speaker was the last guy? I called it as soon as I saw his watch and how they focused on him as much as the bodyguard.

Why does everyone want Lumen to die so bad? I think her part is pretty good in Dexter life, I dont see her being his bf or husband or anything, but I know she probably wont live. I just dont get why people want her dead now, I think her part in the whole story is interesting.
