My old man Ash has heart failure and has been on meds for a while now. I’m on a business trip, but my wife says he’s really struggling to breathe today. His vet is off until tomorrow, but in the past she brought up euthanasia. He’s probably close to 17 years old now. My little min-pin won’t leave his side.

Sorry to hear this. It’s always so hard to deal with losing a member of the family. I had 2 Weimareners that were two years apart and we lost both at 12 to heart failure. Was very difficult both times.

No, definitely not. Buttons finds all people not in our family dubious at best. I’m just happy she’s accepted the few of us she has.
I should clarify for T-ransformation purposes that only Buttons ate cookies at work. I have not had a cookie since…hmm, did I have one on February 4? Maybe. I had ice cream cake that day. I don’t think I had a cookie. Assuming not, I haven’t had one since January 2. Edit: since January 1. That’s the day we “took care of” the remaining Christmas stock.
Oh, but I did have two small bites of Buttons’ special frosted Barkery cookie in January. I don’t know that dog cookies count. I think not. Plus I only had nibbles. It was really good, though.

Even if they did, they have extra protein or something, otherwise they’d just be regular cookies.
