Show Off Your Pets

I don’t know if this breaks some kind of pet thread rule, but I just want to share.

We had to put down my dog yesterday. This is Daphne, she was 14 years old, and pretty much the sweetest dog ever.

She was a lab mix, wonderfully calm and kind, and my heart is a little bit broken.

Here she is giving her most innocent look possible as she finishes off what was going to be my lunch.

You can pretty much hear her thought bubbles in this picture. “What, somebody is under your desk eating your lunch?! Who? Definitely not me! I am not under your desk eating your lunch!”

Sorry for your loss. I know it’s hard. We’ve had to put down 2 of ours in the last three years. Never gets any easier.

The kiddos wanted another dog, so we’re a full house again. This is Zuko.

Both cats are fine with (ignoring) him. Never had two dogs at the same time before, but Cookie’s getting along great, just wants to play with him but he can’t handle her energy.
Zuko Ball

Zuko ear

We know his mom is a German Shepherd-border collie mix and we’re guessing the dad is black lab, so he’s gonna be a big fella. That one ear keeps flopping back like that. Hoping it’ll eventually just perk up and stay put.

Zuko???

Who named him?

Oh snap. A little puppy-name aggression on a Wednesday morning.

To calm everyone down, I shall post a picture of Buttons:

Ha. The kiddo and his girlfriend, since it’s “technically” their dog. He has a friend with a cat named Aang and her favorite movie of all-time is Grease, so Zuko works on a few levels.

In other news, puppy gonna pup.

So, this person-that-I-don’t-really-approve decided that she couldn’t keep her cat anymore and asked my father if we could take him.

We decided to accept, and for the past week he’s been home with us. He can be adorable and absolutely annoying at the same time. He’s only 1 year old, but he’s really big. I’ve never seen such an active cat. Always running around, climbing and hiding in the weirdest places. I have had lots of cats around me lately, but never quite had to take care of one as my pet. Never had to clean a litter box and the such.

It’s actually been very tiring so far. The cat is starting to get used to the place where we live so he’s spending more time outside. He can be quite adorable: he’s cuddly and playful, but he also makes you go out of your mind when he starts meowing at 3am for no reason or breaks stuff.

I’m not going to deny that for the first two nights, I kept wishing I had declined to take him
Anyway, here he is. Isn’t he very very pretty?

Hahaha, so sweet in the first two, then DEVIL CAT in the last two. Adorable!

That one on the TV is funny!

I have nice black & white semi-new cat that adopted my family and likes the big sunny spot on my porch. She also adores my son and follows him around the yard, headbutts him, etc.

I’ll get a pic next time she’s here. My kitty grey-grey was absolutely pissed that other kitty was on her porch last night though.
