I figured for shoulder health I should work in some cuban presses (those are rotation exercises right?). Before I even entered the gym though I performed the motion and I noticed a sort of grinding/cracking feeling in my shoulders. Does this mean that I shoulden’t do them? Are my shoulders jacked up? There isn’t any pain if that helps at all.
If it doesn’t hurt than it’s just probably your tendons slding over your joints… My wrists and knees used to and still crack once in a while when I do my warmup sets but as you lift more and strengthen your joints and connective tissue it goes away or lessens over time.
If in doubt ask a more experienced lifter or your doctor just to make sure.
Yup it happnes like above said tendons etc. as long as its pain free you should be fine wamr up with a few light sets before moving real loads.

Phil has the key. Make sure to warm up BEFORE performing the movement.
Thanks for the green light guys. I’ll just go slow and see how it goes.
