Shoulder Overhauls with OVT?

Hello.
I’m curious, if it would be beneficial to do the program outlined in Shoulders Overhaul, with OVT?
By training the shoulders twice a week, and the remaining bodyparts once a week with the OVT-program?
Any thoughts?

You beat me to the post. I had the exact same question. I am starting OVT on Monday and thought I might be able to add in the extra shoulder day. The only thing I’m concerned about it recovery time…

Please don’t … OVT is extremely demanding on your body already (that’s why it should only be done for 4 weeks). If you combine both workouts not only will you not gain any more mass, you will grossly overtrain.

Training programs should not be combined. Each program is designed according to its own logic and variable interaction, you can completely screw up the training effect if you try to do too much.

Thanks for the response it’s great to have someone with such knowledge sharing information and then taking the time to make sure it’s followed correctly.

I was afraid of combining the programs, that’s why I asked the question. OVT does look like quite the workout…I can’t wait to start!
