Shoulder Impingement or Ulnar Nerve from Elbow?

Ok found where my pain is, serratus posterior superior and a bit of levator scapulae. Thats it exactly. Did some massage on it. Would the exercises you gave me help with those areas? Have no pain whi,e doind or after my upper body workout, which inlydes the warmups you gave me

The ones in my last post should, but it’s important to not crane your neck and be strict in movement (don’t arch the back, stay straight, straight arms, etc). You should be able to feel the serratus working on the front side and between your shoulder blades on the back side. Those areas are supposed to work together.

Levator scap needs to be loosened up (massage/soft tissue) and gently stretched (should be comfortable).

Definitely stay away from repetitive movements that hurt then. You have to work on the right things and avoid doing things that make it worse, kind of like taking medicine

alrightly thanks. That’s what I wanted to know, if the things you told me to work on would help my issue, now that I know what my issue is. I will work on the massage and try and feel that. I feel the pinch in the back, but it’s harder to feel that front, around ribs movement. I saw on the videos you gave me, he talked about it, but I struggle with body awareness on that area. Thanks so much
Andrea

One more question, off topic, deadlifting is causing pain in my finger bones, on the palm side. They hurt if i press on those little bones at each joint. They Rent bruised but they feel bruised. Any suggestions? I think sometimes the bar starts to slip and ends up being held by mostly fingers. Iwant happy fingers since i play piano

Lifting straps for the sets most likely to slip from your hands. Takes a bit of getting used to but very helpful.

Most of that is going to be adapted to as you get used to it but straps help a lot.

As for the shoulder issue–that’s one of the things those exercises are designed to help with. The front around the ribs movement is probably the biggest problem right now because the serratus gets inhibited in many cases of shoulder problems. I’d prioritize the exercises that you feel the MOST in that around ribs movement, then after that do the others.
