I am on week 3 of T-Dawg 2.0. I started at 240 and I am now around 228. I have not had any cheat meals in 3 weeks other than a small sub with a wheat roll and chicken on it and a low carb wrap.
Everything else has been spot on. I am also taking HOT-ROX. My brother says you should not cheat within three weeks of starting a diet as your body will quickly revert back to it’s pre-diet ways with the sudden influx of bad food. I however am craving some pizza and wings terribly bad and have not given in.
So my question: Would cheating now, at the beginning of week 3 of the T-Dawg be an unwarranted abuse of my progress or should I go for it, and possibly reap the benefits of a carb up?
I should also note I am probably at 20% BF currently. I am not a fat hog, but my bulk got a little crazy and now I’m determined to see my abs for the first time in about 5 years.
If you feel like it wont damage the progress youve made why not man? its your life you only live once do what you want. just go a little harder in the gym to work it off later.
My personal opinion would be go for it. Bust your ass at the gym and then eat some pizza and a few wings and then get right back on the diet. You aren’t going to wake up the next day and be 240 again.
Granted, if cheating destroys your will power to eat clean, than I would advise against it.
While, I do think you need to live a little and I like to cheat from time to time, I think it might be a little too soon to have a ‘dirty’ cheat, given your BF percentage.
Coach Thibs has talked about this before, so I’ll repost it here:
20% body fat: clean veggie carb-up day every 14 days
15-20% body fat: clean carb-up day every 10 days
10-15% body fat: carb-up day with some cheating every 7 days
Like Vader said, I think your body fat is too high for a cheat. Your only 3 weeks into your diet, hold on and focus, you have a long way to go. If your determined to see your abs, you know cheating won’t help you.
