Should I Finish Bulking?

Is it true that the first time someone diet down from 12% to 8%, the person will lose more muscle than subsequent dieting? That if the person can hold the 8% body fat for awhile, the body will be used to that and be easier to diet down to that same percent from future bulking?[/quote]

Do you think your body has any fucking clue what NUMBER it is in body fat percentage?

Could you tell us what is magic about the number 12 and the number 8?

Not or any physiological reason… but chances are the first time someone diets down to a lean state they aren’t going to do things optimally. You learn from what your mistakes were and hopefully do better next time.

It’s like parallel parking to me, the first time you did it you likely hit the curb but after a few trials you get it just right. Did your car get better at parking or did you learn how to park it better?

If you do HIIT sessions, 8’’ sprinting followed by 12’’ walking, you’ll go from 12% bodyfat to 8% bodyfat…

…Or is it the other way round?

Haha! Well said!

I heard that if you want to drop your BF% from 12% to 8% you need to throw a skinned cat off of a bridge separating a graveyard from a church, during a full moon in winter…or was that to get rid of warts?

gaining “lean muscle” as opposed to non lean muscle?

Greg, you need to stop thinking about gaining lean muscle and go back to focusing on lean mustache.

^^Everyone knows that lean muscle is harder to gain than non lean muscle… its science

I don’t know, I’ve seen some pretty bare faced swedes that could probably have hefted a cow above their heads.

The numbers are just an example I used for the question I was asking. So, no, there’s nothing magical about the number 12 and 8. I know the question appears retarded and I’m also having a hard time wording my thoughts properly. I remember CT mentioning that if someone has never dieted down to the single digits in body fat that they should do so to not only prove that they can do it, but also make it easier to diet down to the same body fat range after future bulkings. I also took CC’s point that after you bulk up to a certain weight, you should hold that weight for a few months before dieting down to keep more muscle. That made me wonder if the reverse could be true. Both of those thoughts, led to my question.
