Should I continue in cut? How many % of BF am I?

I’ve been through a few of those. It does seem to get more difficult falling to sleep the final 3 weeks out from a show. I attributed that to my mind trying to solve every little detail of the countdown, plus wondering if the whole sacrifice is worth it.

But in the early 1980’s, if I am correct, there was an easy fix that I could buy at the health foods store: GHB. A sure 8 hours sleep (almost exactly). One scoop of GHB to fall asleep and you better get in bed soon. Wake up 4 hours later. Take a 1/2 scoop and grab 4 hours more sleep. The best sleep that I ever got. But the youth found a better use for GHB and contributed to its removal for public use.

The absolute worst night sleep I ever got was the night before a bench press contest in Tallahassee. Strange bed… overthinking everything… mind could never relax… I must have gotten some sleep but I don’t know how much… not much. I just went to the meet without dieting at all. You’re stronger that way, I figured. I had to drop a half pound to make the 242 1/2 lb class. I put a penny in my mouth and proceeded to spit enough to make weight. That poor sleep had nothing to do with losing weight.

Of course smaller people need less sleep than fatter people. Take an extreme example: an infant. They only need like 19-20 hours a day, while me (a huge male with bulging muscles) needs at least 22 hours a day or I’m useless.

Guys, @Bane2 is a troll who asks for opinions of others and then argues with them if they dont reflect his own.

He wont post a picture or have any reasonable debate. I promise.

they required less sleep. they never said they were not able to sleep. so your starting sentence is wrong, and im not wrong.
bodybuilders? really? they are on dieretics and roids.
you must be like some highschooler

You’re confusing cause with corollation.

Less bodyweight may be correlated with better sleep and recovery, but is not the cause.

Being heavier and/or overweight Is a cause of sleep apnea and other difficulties.

Losing weight is strongly associated with clearing them up.

But its apnea and other breathing problems relating to being over weight that are the cause of the breathing problem which affects recovery.

Now is not the time for reasonable debate, that comes later

No YOU are confusing cause with correlation im not confusing anything, i never had sleep apnea or headaches or anything. i slept just fine at a heavier weight. what i am saying is simply before it would take 8 hours of sleep to achieve the same well rested state that now only takes 5 hours of sleep. And no im not having trouble going to sleep, so it isn’t about contest prep or some other bullshit that guy was saying. Less bodyweight= less requires sleep for same daily activity. You simply have to exert less effort on a daily basis of EXISTING.

I am baffled that anybody would argue this? do you not see short people running around all day because they’re so light in weight?

Seems like the thread is going off the rails. May be a good time to get back on point.

Your n=1 is a compelling argument.

And you are certain of this? Why?

Likewise. Who would care enough to argue something that has no significance? Just tell your experience and drop it at that. If a person gets enough sleep for their liking, what’s to argue about?
