Should Gays Have their Own Locker-Room?

FIXED, for reality.

Trust me mate - They are not all married. :-)))))

They will be after they meet me.

As long as you stay home, that is.

No worries mate - I’ve had most of them anyway. It was a few years ago so you should touch the sides again by now. :P
Ha! So I have to walk around Sweden saying ‘Do know an old limey named Rents? Yes? Well, fuck off then! Throwing a hot dog down a hallway! Christ!’

I’m late to this, but I could see the point of people feeling uncomfortable with a gay man in the locker room with them. Or woman for a woman.

Women wouldn’t want unisex changing rooms in the USA in most cases and believe me, I don’t want to see most women naked.

Most women wouldn’t want unisex changing rooms because they are extremely self conscious. It has little to do with fear of being hit on…even though I am sure many tell themselves that’s the reason.

I agree though…I doubt many of us would actually want to see ALL women naked.
Damn is that your wallpaper? They must not be classed as tits since it hasn’t been deleted yet.

It would make logical sense on the same logical thought men and women are separated.

But then what do you do? Put a bunch of gay dudes in the same locker room or would they each have a private changing room? Or do you put them in with the women?

I don’t care really for the most part. Sometimes I notice people staring which is awkward. I just don’t make eye contact and they usually quit and google eye someone else for a response.

I don’t like the blatant homos looking for sex standing naked in the aisle, bending over obscenely when they really don’t need to be in a way that anyone coming around the corner can’t help but see etc etc. This doesn’t happen often but there is a guy on tuesday nights who is notorious for this.

Inappropriate behaviour should be dealt with for sure.

But as long as people respect the gym as a place to work out and not look for dick they don’t bother me gay or not.

I think we should experiment with coed locker rooms though and then all sex bets are off. Which makes me a hypocrite I suppose but so be it.

i agree that locker rooms should really be more focused on getting in and out. i do chat with friends while im in there but we have our clothes on. i really cant stand the old fucks walking around naked not even in a towel. and they always stand somewhere so that as soon as you walk in you have to see them. fucking gross.

if anyone is making someone else feel uncomfortable in a changing room they should definately be kicked out of the gym. having a gay dude check you out while you change is the equivelant to having a peephole to the girls showers. and i too am being hypocritical cause i would so use a peephole on girl showers.

exactly

Who the fuck cares who is staring at who. Gay, straight or bi? Does it really hurt you in any way for someone to be looking at you?

This goes for women as well as men.

As long as there is nothing inapropriate or aggressive then as far as I am concerned everyone can get changed in one room and wander round naked as long as they like. I am there to get showered and changed. If someone’s day is made happier by seeing me naked then the world is a slightly happier place.

It’s not necessarily who stares at me that bothers me. It is awkward and unwanted attention but if I ignore them for a few seconds they get the point and stare at someone else hoping for a response.

What bothers me is the blatant and unnecessary nudity, bending over to “dry their ankles” with their ass out to the aisle rather than in to the locker row or better yet shower stall etc.

I don’t want to see that. It is unnecessary to show it. Granted there may be some dudes who just aren’t thinking about it but I would bet a lot of them are gay and looking for random which unfortunately subjects those of us who are not interested to see shit we really don’t want to see which is very disrespectful. And gross.

LOL
I don’t think gay guys are bending over like this to “show it” trying to get random. I can all but assure you that 99% of gay guys would not do this unless they were sure the target audience was also gay. Since you see this all the time have you ever wondered if people, especially gays, think you’re gay?

Well damn, who the hell doesn’t now-a-days?

Who’s catering the coming out party?

Rent must have been cheap in that closet.

No.

But you sound like you know a lot about the gay life style.

I don’t know why middle aged and young men alike would hang out in a locker room nude for 30 + minutes oggling and smiling at who ever comes through the door. I do know I am not the only one who notices and is creeped out by the activity by reading this thread alone.

Overly friendly naturists I suppose?

And I don’t see this all the time. When I do see it, I find it repulsive, disrespectful and can only assume the dude is gay, (even if in the 1% category I’ll go with in light of no real research) who blatantly looks for it to satisfy his hypersexuality with anyone he can find.

Oh No! The T-Nation crew in love with androgynous women thinks I’m gay… some of them anyways… oh no…but not really gay, just annoying because I think most of the women here are ugly and the guys following them for email pictures (most of whom look like sissy twinks anyways) are douche bags so they go with calling me gay because it is supposed to be offensive, oh no…

This woman is hot.

Not man legs on women, or nude dudes in the locker room. Beyonce is average.

Sorry Prof! I’m sure you’ll find your twink white boy lover, skinny jeans, neon polos with popped collars and MTV on remote memory and all but it won’t be me!

I apologize for not having read the thread, but do find the topic very interesting. I train at a primarily gay gym, and at this point I’m over any sort of discomfort I may have had. The only thing I really hate about them is how ‘faithful’ they are, coming to the gym all the time but make no progress because they don’t work hard. That’s just me, though.

I will also add that from the gay guys, ambiguous guys, and maybe even straight guys, I’ve been told how many of the guys check me out. I just kind of roll my eyes and continue my thing. The only thing about that I really hate is how most of the sexual attention I receive is from gay men. Be it environment or just my own personal attributes and gay guys’ interests, dunno.

And that’s my two cents.
(By the way, to directly answer the topic, I don’t think gays should have their own locker room although I COMPLETELY understand the point made and used to wonder myself before experience was attained.)

There is only one solution here boys.

Co-ed locker rooms are required by law.

Its the only way to make it fair.

I don’t know why people get so upset about nudity.

It’s been part of my life since freshman year in high school. We’re naked in the locker room, we showered together after sports, just gets to the point where it’s no longer a bother. Some extra gayness does ensue among some of my teammates, apparently making up for lost time when they were sexually oppressed when younger.

I’m the guy that always showers at the gym. Why? Because I get acne if I don’t. In addition, I don’t give a fuck what’s shown or what I see in the locker room. My attitude is very similar to what renton described in his post about Sweden.

My friends and teammates give me shit about my “short” shorts (meaning part of my VMO is exposed).

Too big a deal is made about nudity. Somehow we fucked the human body into being an issue. Last season, my team almost ended up in a lawsuit. Why? Because one of the players walked out of the locker room and the door got stuck partially open. Our goalie who didn’t have the line of sight to see the door was dancing naked. Small girl sees goalie’s genitals swinging and runs off.

Also to headhunter:
Men who are upset about being looked at ARE homophobes, and the women who talk about getting leered at ARE paranoid bitches. How many women without issues ever go complaining about that sort of thing?
Professor X wrote:
I have nothing against gay people. I also have yet to be raped by one so I will assume that there is a low risk of this happening.

It is a little late in the game to think that now is the time to have separate locker rooms. I am much more creeped out by those old guys who spend way more time in the locker room naked than they do lifting weights in the gym.

I admit those “flamboyant gays” that act more feminine than women make me wonder what the hell is wrong with them, but I still tend to think acting like that is nothing but an act. There is no gay gene that makes a guy wear neon and lace while acting like a woman on ecstasy.
I feel the same way.

I don’t know if we have a lot of gays, or if other people had a different upbringing than me, but there are too many naked people in the locker room. Especially old guys who are barely ever even in the gym. They shave, they stand in front of the mirror, dry off, walk around and talk, use the sauna, shower, etc. Naked and flossing their asses with towels the entire time. Fuck that, seriously.

I am already weirded out by a handful of people who are naked all the time, as is my dad. The old dudes are just CREEPY

Cant stand those guys.

One of my good friends in highschool was gay, difference was he didnt run around acting like a fool all the time.

Nothing wrong with being gay, there is something wrong with being an annoying son of a bitch.

The two are not the same thing, being gay is no excuse to run around acting like a moron, bothering others, and generally ignoring common social courtesy.

The flamming homos bother me, just like the popped collar frat fucks do.

Difference is, if I knock a flammer out I get called a bigot and brought up for a hate crime.

Thats bs girls aren’t harassed it gives them an ego boost. the only girls who ever bitch about sexual harrasment and shit are hideouse and no one would ever check them out. I hate that bullshit trying to make you afraid of checking a girl out and they might like it and be interested how else would you know? Same thing with a gay guy checking you out its no big deal.

Also to the gay guy I am wondering do you not get turned on by girls AT ALL not in the slightest. Like would it be disgusting to you to fuck bicep crazes avatar?

Yeah, I think even most gay guys, those like your high school buddy, can’t stand the flamers. Oh, you’ll be happy to know that federal law does not include sexual orientation as a basis for a hate crime. That decision/law is up to each state. Some states say it is some say it isn’t, so polish up those brass knuckles and call your local congressman lol.
