Should Be a Darwin Award

They SHOULD be ok, as it is a rubber pool so they are not grounded. Key word “should”.

so the water won’t conduct the electricity and get them?

well maybe I am the dumb one! I didn’t know that.

Cords can develop tears in them, including rubber coated ones. A risk I would not be willing to take.

As long as the pool doesn’t have a hole in the bottom, or your not touching anything outside the pool, there is no path to ground.

Just don’t take a beer from your buddy outside the pool, or step out with one foot on the pool. They still have a lot of faith in their not being any path.

And lack of a particular knowledge is not the same as being dumb.

Naw…load them up with bird grit…would be classic seeing him have to go back to the ER for the same dumb thing.

I down loaded the Darwin arm pic and zoomed in enough to get a few KEY quotes:

??But I still can??t believe my arm??s been chopped off just for one snake. I still have my life and I guess that??s the most important thing.??

??But I made the stupid mistake of grabbing it with my left hand because I was holding a beer in my right one, I had it??s head in my hand but it got lose and grabbed the web of my hand ?? it??s fangs were that big it ripped my hand open.??

??I tore it off me and put it in a plastic bag and threw it in the back of the car.??

??For some stupid reason, I stuck my hand back in the bag, and it must have smelled blood, and it bit me another eight times.??

Reason I wanted to use ex-lax is that his intestines probably couldn’t handle the stress of constantly shitting after surgery. Also, there would be the possibility of him shitting out a big grit ball and you know this dumb ass would turn it into a medallion or trophy.

Or a tasty midnight snack.

He just got the wrong animal to mimic. If he wants to digest well, just eat as much hay as an elephant, think about how much they shit!
That could be him!

I guess they did begin the paperwork for Worker’s Comp on his request. What a tool

He’s still in the hospital.

Mmmm even better the 2nd time around.

So doesn’t your work know that the grit caused his health problems? I bet they’ll definitely be getting a second opinion. Hopefully they won’t need to use you and other employees in court to testify against his dumbass.

Give him a Bas Rutten Liver Punch!!! Kidney is acceptable.

this reminds me of a story about an old guy with whom i used to work.

he had been sick for about a month and continually was getting worse. he didn’t have medical insurance so he just kept taking advil or theraflu or whatever, hoping it would go away.

finally one day he had to be taken to the ER from work. while there, the doctors figured out he was being poisoned somehow.

as it would turn out, he had been using epoxy to hold his dentures in, because it held better than denture cream or whatever it is that old people use. over time, it was gradually building up in his body and poisoning him, as i understand the story.

i always joked that he probably would have been better off with a little super glue.

anyway, sorry about the hijack OG>

Wow…

If I was this guy, I’d be trying to think of some insane story to cover up my insanity (oops, I mean lack of knowledge!)

“Burglers came to my house, tied me up, and force-fed me parakeet food with grit!”

“They put GRIT in oatmeal now?!”

“Oh, I should NEVER have purchased that LOW-Grade protein powder! I should have stuck with Metabolic Drive!!”

Sad to say, I was thinking of this thread when I checked my kitty litter supply this morning… (shaking my head) I hope the guy is ok.

Any updates on this, OG?

latest update

he’s been released from the hospital and will be out of work for at least 3 more months. Work is keeping his job open pending the Worker’s Comp investigation.

Apparently the grit also caused a gum infection due to scratches on his gums.

he’s a mess. It was a dumb thing, but I still feel sorry for the guy.

I hope this guy learned his lesson.

Give him our collective condolences. I say that with a straight face, and sad for him that he couldn’t learn this lesson in some simpler way… egads, I can’t imagine.

Sincerely,

Renee

I know! I really hope he did, but when I think about it, I don’t think he did.

Hopefully he will fully recover.
