Shooting On Fort Hood

If you are in the central Texas area and want to help those in need after this tragedy then go donate blood. 30+ wounded people can deplete a blood bank. Your effort would be greatly appreciated.

– About the comments of soldiers on Ft Hood carrying weapons, be it handguns/rifles: no. You are not going to find many soldiers walking around on post with an M-4 or handgun with ammunition, that is not how it works. So if someone decides to pull this bullshit event like the Major did, then yeah, you are at a big disadvantage.

I like how everyone sees his name and thinks its some Muslim jihad or something… the man was born and raised in America. I also feel horribly behind on main events, this is incredibly tragic… surprised my parents back in Austin didn’t tell me.

it WAS jihad. read more about this before you try and say it isn’t. of course, the govt is trying to spin this away from the facts to keep us all pacified and ignorant. also, why is there absolutely NO mention at all about the other 2 suspects taken into custody? I can’t find a single word about them anywhere. strange…

Can you at least link something credible so I can learn something… just doesn’t seem likely that an American would pursue a “jihad”

After there initial investigation…they didn’t find any connection and released them. But I am still curious as to what was evident about these two to arrest them in the first place.

But will all that was transpiring I can understand the amount of confusion of who?,what?,etc.

Hell, they are even thinking that some of the victims could have been shot by friendly fire because of the confusion and nature of the situation.

(In case it hasn’t been posted yet)

Well…it seems Hasan didn’t use a 9mm…he used a FN Five-Seven:

Law enforcement officials said a 5.7-millimeter pistol used in the Fort Hood shooting rampage was purchased legally at a Texas gun store called “Guns Galore.”

Records indicate that Nadil Malik Hasan, 39, bought the FN 5.7 at the store well before the attack that left 13 people dead. The pistol has been dubbed a “cop killer” by those who have tried to stop its use. The most powerful type of ammunition for the gun is available only to law enforcement and military personnel. The ammo has the ability to pierce bulletproof vests, but it is unclear at this time whether the bullets Hasan purchased had that capability.

That handgun is no joke…especially with 30 round mags. He was able to fire 100 rounds in a short time from that handgun. Something very surreal about this firearm coming from the same store I purchase firearms. This is all still surreal to me.

I picked up the school paper at my college this morning after learning yesterday afternoon. The headline on the page reads as follows: “Alumnus suspected in Fort Hood shooting”

Another shooter from Tech, this time a full grown adult, 39. It’s becoming increasingly sad and ridiculous around here. I was also surprised to hear that Ft. Hood and not Ft. Jackson is the largest Army base in the country. I just hope closure is brought to Central Texas area quick. You’re in my prayers.

Killing justified by religious orientation. We’ve literally made no intellectual progress in two thousand years as far as this is concerned. This dude wasn’t born with this inclination to kill for Islam - yet another beautiful example of how religion creates an unjust world.

What it all boils down to is he doesn’t like people that aren’t exact replicas of himself because thats what his religion taught him. He didn’t kill for Islam - he killed for himself and he should just fucking own up and admit it - he’s just as sick as the people he condemns.

Can someone please tell me where they are getting this from?!?

lol this lady at work was talking about it out loud this afternoon. She said “yeah I just knew it had to be one of them crazy durka durka people”

I couldn’t help laughing. A lot of people did.

I know the lady that said it is an idiot, and what she said was very ignorant. But in a way I can also understand where she was coming from.
There is always a lot of disconnect between reality and what you hear in the media
Probably all that she knows about the world comes from watching the news, and going by that there does seem to be a disproportionately large amount of blood thirsty Muslims.

As a matter of fact it seems like the only time I aver hear the word “Muslim” it’s in connection with death and destruction. Is that all just a coincidence? Do Muslims deserve to be seen this way for some reason or is it just a fabrication to sell news papers?

So because of stuff like that I don’t blame people like headhunter and that tard lady at work. I don’t agree with them but I understand.

well, the shooter screaming “Allahu Akbar” as he’s killing people makes it sound like it’s religiously motivated.

Today’s news channels are all biased to one party one way or another. FOX news had to release a statement that over 80% of its shows are NOT real news programs; they are independently owned broadcasts that report a particular view of events around the world.

You can’t deny that the mass media has the potential to shape people’s opinions. Hitler used radio broadcasts, newspapers, shoolchildren’s books to dehumanize jews and easily turned himself into no less than a God and the people of Germany into killers.

I wouldn’t consider that “proof” of anything… I still see this as a disgruntled American just as the unabomber etc… Isn’t he still alive? we’ll find out sooner or later

It may be the biggest Army base but I don’t believe it is the largest MILITARY base in the country.

It always been touted as being the largest. It’s definitely huge. I do know that it is the largest active-duty,fully armored base in U.S.

This is the worst thing that could have happened as far as perpetuating anti-Islamic prejudices in the States.
