Looks like a potentially bad ass fight between Iceman and Shogun is off because Shogun injured his ACL again. Such a tough break. I was really looking forward to this.

Yeah, it was apparently the same knee he recently had surgery on. I was thinking the same thing: Get the damn surgery done by a top U.S. doctor!

To have it happen to the same knee definitely raises questions about the quality of his initial surgery.
As for a replacement to fight Liddell, about the only thing that makes sense right now is to have Hendo move back to 205 and take the fight. All the other top contenders are already committed to fights in either May, June or July. Hendo just fought and would have time to prepare for Liddell.
Make it happen, Dana…Liddell vs. Henderson!
That would be a great fight. I’d personally pick Hendo in that fight, though it could go either way, but I’d feel really bad for him if he lost. THREE in a row – damn, that would suck. Although they would’ve all been to ultra-top-notch opponents, but still . . .

Three serious ligment injuries, starting with the Coleman fight, in two years, does not bode well for his future. Lots and lots of lost training time. Which I think is evident in his complete lack of progress as a fighter that what he have seen in his most recent fights.
